Some friends of mine in Chicago started the Toy Block Music company, and I'm helping spread the word for them here.
Grammy winner Matt Shane (Flight of the Conchords) produced "Eats Paste," Toy Block's EP of classic children's songs redone by modern day indie artists. Basically, each musician was asked to come up with something cool for whatever their favorite children's song was when they were younger.
The point is having children's music that kids can enjoy that won't make parents want to claw their eyeballs out in the car.
