1. Horrible coaching 2. horrible chemistry between the players

This time around we have a great coach, a great group of players, and the right mindset. We are gonna fuck everyone up.

they're going to play better teams in the worlds. the US is better, but we're nowhere near a mortal lock to roll over teams like they're all Korea.

yeah, youre right. the fact that theyre paid is the reason were winning. although, you fail to mention, the reason WHY theyre paid, is because theyre fucking great players...

not to mention the USA isnt the ONLY country in the WORLD that pays its pro atheletes. wow.

You're a smart one.

Anyway, how many points do you think we roll Puerto Rico by in the First Round? I'd say between 25-30.

I'm actually pulling for Puerto Rico. I love my American basketball, but I'm one of very few Puerto Ricans in Montana so hopefully Arroyo and company can somehow pull the unthinkable.

wow. how did you make it to montana from puerto rico?? and it's not THAT unthinkable. puerto rico beat the US in the 04 games.

I think that US team was badly put together, though, this one will be tougher to beat.

My grandparents (now just grandma) live in Puerto Rico and are from there; my dad was born in the states, though and went to college in the states, got a job with Exxon company and got transferred up to Montana when I was like 4. We were only supposed to stay about a year, but when you get caught up in a place like Montana, sometimes you just can't leave. I love it here.

I was gonna say...that's quite the journey to end up in the middle of nowehere Montana.

The US already showed they are better than Puerto Rico, and, even then they hadn't fully embraced the team concept. Now, they look a lot better defensively (they showed signs of it on their huge run that won them the PR game a few weeks back) and are starting to click offensively. I'm saying 15-20pt win...though, that's the lowest gap I expect

yeah. you're not a good coach because you like guys that work hard and happened to land into a spot with the hardest working starting lineup in the league. dude did help us get over the hump, possibly, but he wasn't the main reason we won.

plus, the way he left and his total wishy-washy bullshit of "oh, i don't want to leave detroit, no way"and then saying something different the next day is ridiculous. hope he never has a winning season anywhere, ever.

I agree, he's such a good coach. I mean he's the only one who ever taught Starbury to play defense.

all the games are going to be a lot closer in the real tourney, because everyone will play zone

I doubt the US will shoot half as well as they have been, but I hope the do
