nope. based on the standings right now, they would most likely have to beat Boston, Orlando, and LA. you know they're gonna fuck up one of those series. they play great during the regular season, and lebron is the only one that does good in the playoffs. he had no support against orlando last year.

It would be like the celtics if the knicks got two of the big names. However, Bosh is going to chicago and wade and leBron are staying in their cities.
Why is Shaq in the title he is injured.

I have been a celtics fan since i was a little boy. The cavs do not have it to take it all the way in the post season. Neither does my team boston. I dont see them going any further then east conf. finals at most this year getting to old. Time to hit up free agency when ray allens contract expires.
I think the Thunder are going to get far with Durant, Westbrook , and Green.

True there. Cavs will probably a acquire a big name is free agency as well to keep lebron in town. plus he's a hometown native and wants to rep akron in the city of cleveland he's stated that a million times.
but say that again about shaq? that didnt make sense

Gross, Chris Bosh doesn't deserve to win.

everything is wrong in this post. knicks will get two of the names you mentioned, then they would win a championship. the celtics will never win one again with their current squad though because they are too old and frail and have scalibrene, and shaq will be back since the playoffs are like 4 months long

Agreed on the celtics matter. I was just referencing them due to the fact that they bought a team and then went to the championship game after being terrible the year before. It's not really rebuilding if it only takes a year.

but i feel like the cavs have more depth this year, right? Jamison has really fit in well, they now have more size (old but still big) with Z and shaq, verajeo and j.j. hickson have really developed well this year, and are critical parts of the teams success, and then having the additions of moon and parker, that gives them depth on the guard position, and more fire power if needed. Tahts just my opinion.

Jamison has been OK, but I just think he'll have to play his absolute best to be the second fiddle to Lebron. Shaq has been pretty much a joke the whole year. He's just too old, and I don't think he has enough gas in the tank to play well. Verajeo I'll admit, is playing a LOT better this year than last year, and they'll definitely need his presence in the paint, mostly on the boards. I haven't noticed Hickson's play well enough to make that call, so not sure about him. I will say that their perimeter shooting has to be well above 30 percent to win the championship, which means Mo Williams has to be more consistent, and also Gibson and West.

haha...yeah...with that 1st round pick they have...and that roster full of talent they have...If they sign Lebron and another legit FA (Wade, Bosh, etc), they can't even keep David Lee
You think a starting lineup (and this is beyond a pipe-dream) of
1. Sergio Rodruiguez/Toney Douglass
2. Wade
3. Danillo Gallinari
4. Lebron
5. Eddie Curry
With JR Giddens, Bill Walker, and Wilson Chandler on the bench is enough to win the East?

You're reasons are
1. He has friends in NYC (Jay-z, Arod, etc)
2. He wants to be a billionaire (not gonna happen on b-ball alone)
3. The Knicks are also going to sign Bosh or Wade
Aside from the fact that #1 is a dumb point, #2 isn't really helped much by moving to NYC, and #3 is a long-shot at best...there are still so many other reasons NOT to go to NYC. The main one being that even with Wade or Bosh, they wouldn't have enough talent to have a legit starting lineup, much less an 8 or 9 deep roster. There isn't a single player on the Knicks roster who is better that the equivalent player on the Cavs roster who will still be a Knick next year.
The way he becomes a global icon...like Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods...is by winning titles. He doesn't win titles by moving to the Knicks
/waits for the "whatever, don't be mad when he's in NYC next year" response

As great of a player as he is, he can't do it by himself. Look what happened last year; the Cavs fell apart because no one else on the team was good enough to step up.
We've added two additional high profile scoring options.
The reason they lost was not lack of offense, it was poor defense against the Magic - we couldn't match up against Dwight Howard, Hedo Turkoglu and Rashard Lewis. They lost Hedo and replaced him with Carter, who is much less effective.
Think about this - the Cavs have the same core that went to the conf. finals last year and added these players:
Antawn Jamison (20 point scorer and 10 boards, stretch 4 who can shoot the 3 pointer), Shaquille O'Neal (still effective defender in the post and a solid scorer down low), Anthony Parker (great 3 point shooter), Jamario Moon (lockdown small forward who can shoots threes) and Leon Powe (solid PF down low). They also developed two young players - JJ Hickson, who is now a monster finisher, and Jawad Williams, another big time shooter/defender.
They have the deepest team in the league by far. If the Cavs don't win, it would be a huge disappointment.

Have you ever been to Cleveland?
The Cavs will choke....they always do.
This Cavs team has only "choked" once, last year. When are the other times? They went from being the plucky upstart trying to get past the Pistons, to getting past the Pistons and being completely outmatched in the Finals, to suddenly falling behind the Celtics after they made the trades. Last year. That's it.

You're stating facts that I already know. I know their new role players, I know they have a deep team, I know, I know, I know. There's no contention to who the best team in the league is as far as depth and talent, but I just don't think they'll get it done.
