hey guys,


i was wondering if there was anyone interested in being part of an online fantasy hockey league for the upcoming season. some of us did one last year, but it was an automated draft which made it pretty lame, so i'm looking to improve on it this year by having a live draft which should make it much more exciting/interesting for everyone.

if you want in, let me know. the draft will be mid-late september, but i just wanted to give a heads up.

ill join this. I would have won the league last year but Hasek decided that getting hurt in the olympics meant not playing for the rest of the year. I dont know if this has been said but, there shouldnt be too many teams because then you run into the problem of not everyone being able to have 2 goalies and then they get screwed

this is true. I was just one of the lucky ones....for most of the season.

I seem to remember a time in November (when Ryan Miller had a broken hand) that I was starting Adam Berkhoel and Michael Garnett (the Thrashers, like, 5th and 6th, goalies of the season). I also think I used Mike Morrison (Edmonton) and Nolan Schaefer (Sharks) in that month,.

so did I. I went back and looked. Out of 18, (I think it was 18) players, I only had 4 left on my final roster.

That being said, I think I built one of the best teams in the league. No real "superstar". Only Mike Modano and Roberto Luongo.

I just think Malkin's got the best of what both of them have. Crosby's vision/passing ability, Ovechkin's power/willingness to get gritty and work defensively as well. I think he's the total package where as Crosby's a finesse player and Ovechkins a pure scorer, Malkin, I think can do both.

Head to head scoring

2 C, 2 LW, 2 RW, 4 D, 2 goalie, 4 bench, 1 IR. - That's what we had, that's what's default

Categories: Goals, Assists, Points, PP Points, +/-, Penalty Mins, GW Goals, Wins, GAA, Save %. 10's a good number of categories, and this encompasses all of the game without making things uneven or unfair.

I think it's easy to make a 12 team league. There are only like 12 or 13 people on that list who were active in the NHL thread last year anyway.
I could easily pick the 10 that I want in the main league, and they include the 5/6 returning players.
