at 4pm, yes...if you want to watch Amen Corner, the 15th/16th, or the Mike Weir group...then go to Masters.com
Its exceedingly rare that you get to see the front 9 of the Masters, and even rarer that you get to see a full round from anyone.

Not up to ESPN...the Masters has NEVER allowed more than about 4 hours of coverage. When the US and British open roll around, those are covered wire to wire because that's the way they are run...the masters people seem to care about exclusivity, etc

One of my favorite sporting events of the year. It's so unlike anything else, and as far as environment and scenery, it can't be beat. I know a lot of people who think golf is boring, but when it's close, it's so exciting. Hoping Mickelson stays near the top all weekend.

it's on espn from 4-7, but you can stream amen corner live, 15th/16th holes, and a featured group over at masters.com, or on your iphone with the free masters app.
also masters.com has an interactive scoreboard that features individual highlights, per hole. go to the leaderboard, click on a player and his scorecard will come up, then you click any yellow boxes around hole by hole scores and they'll pull up a quick video synopsis of that hole.

I think the stat on ESPN earlier was that 18 of the last 19 champions have been in the final pairing....so, looks like Mickelson and Westwood will have the edge.
Barring a major collapse, its pretty much between Westwood, Mickelson, Woods, Choi, and maybe Fred Couples if he can have another great round.

Is that what Tiger said?
Taking another 2 months off would be awful for Tiger...it certainly wouldn't make the media hoopla go away
He's probably back for the TPC, and then something like the Byron Nelson or Memorial before the US Open.

yeah the British is after the U.S. open, I always mix the dates up for those two. and yeah Tiger said what I put in quotes, so who knows what he is going to do. He definitely beat himself today.
Weird. Probably doesn't mean as much time as we think..

That would be smart.

If Tiger doesn't choke that put away on 14, that eagle matters. He killed himself with that...could easily be at -12 right nowThe par putt meant nothing because he knew the tournament was gone once he didn't make birdie there. Also, if he birdies or pars 14 there's no way to know if he still makes eagle at 15.
Phil is a class act. Great family moment there with his wife and kids. Love to see a happy ending like that. With as much crap as Tiger gets for having his image carefully crafted it amazes me that Phil gets let off the hook so easily for doing the same thing.
Tiger will be back no later than The Players in a month's time to begin his run up to Pebble.

What?I was referring to the exploitation of his "family man" image that he's done well crafting the last 11 years. There's a reason why he's not very well liked by fellow players and that's a part of it. He started it at the US Open in 1999 when he made a big deal about wearing a beeper at all times in case Amy went into labor. He said he could be in the lead on the back nine on Sunday and if it went off he would just leave at that moment. Fellow players were wishing all week that the beeper would go off because they all knew he'd look like an idiot once he kept playing which is obviously what would've happened.
If the few stories I've heard about him, which could be similar to what Jason referred to earlier in the thread, ever got out then that image would be hit just as hard as Tiger's has been in the minds of people who actually care what celebrities do in their personal time.
If you talk to most people that cover the sport they'll tell you that Phil is a complete phony although I've heard nothing but good things about his wife.

You can't take time off and expect to come win the U.S. Open... even if it is at Pebble Beach. This is Tigers time to make a serious run at the Majors record, and he knows this, he missed out on the masters, but still has Pebble Beach and St. Andrews ahead of him, two of his favorite courses. The U.S. Open though is always known as the toughest tournament of the year, and he knows this, he won't take too much time off at all.

Well done to Phil, he deserved it, he played the best over the 4 days, as much as i'm dissapointed that Westwood didn't pull it off.
