View Full Version : Ideas For A Birthday Present?

My dad is turning fifty years old soon, and I'm not sure of anything to get him for his birthday. Any suggestions you guys have would be helpful. Some of his hobbies include golf, watching old Seinfeld reruns, and the Arizona sports teams (like the D-Backs, the Suns, etc.). He's a pretty busy guy, so he's running errands a lot, and he's a diabetic (if anyone has a diabetes-specific gift they'd like to recommend?). My budget is just to keep it under maybe a hundred dollars, and that's about it. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them, because I'm completely lost on this one.

coffin
haha alright. i was expecting more than one post and definitely for the first one to not be coffin. anyway, do you play music? if so write him songs. i did this for my dad and he loved it. also, if you don't i would stick to more of something he'd enjoy that didn't remind him he had diabetes.

i lol'd. it's true though.
There's this Worst Case Scenario book that they sell at target. It's like, 20 bucks and it's really funny and original i think. I would love that for a birthday present.

I don't know if this was meant to be humorous, but it might be the funniest thing I've read on AP.net in a long, long time.

You could get him some kind of clothing item from his favorite sports team i.e. a hoodie. Dad's like hoodies, right?

Get him an actual diamondback rattlesnake. Just tape a happy birthday note to it and leave it in his car seat so he'll find your present when he leaves for work.
...Or a diabetic cookbook, my mom has tons of em and they're actually pretty good for non-crappy tasting food.
hit him in the head at 11:59pm the day before, and then 12:01 on his birthday give him a bandaid.

Get your mom to let you take compromising pictures of her. It can be a gift from both of you without spending anything!

darlin', anything from your heart. Its safe to read on, I'm not going to make any offensive jokes lol.
I think there are gas gift cards.
Hip clothing. (as a joke, buy him hair dye, so he doesn't take himself so seriously getting older.)
Diabetic cook books. Assuming he cooks. You can even cook for him that day, totally healthy hardy meal.
Golf gear in general, but I assume he already has that all. You can get it engraved?
nice cell phone, or technology of sorts.
a pack of Huggies
....sorry I had to xD
I'm sure he'll love any of that  good luck!
