I love how this tour goes from saskatchewan to the states then to ontario... completely detours around manitoba hahaha, I can't really see saskatchewan having a big music scene either,,, it's like a farming province (or so I hear).

Wish this would come to the South.
More dates will be announced.
We’re very excited to announce that we’re doing a headline tour this summer with Kevin Devine, Bad Veins, and The Dig. For those of you that are complaining, “Why aren’t they playing (insert your city here)?”, rest assured that there are more dates coming soon. Pre-sale starts Monday. Grab yourself some tickets. It’s gonna be a good time (and it’s about time we did a headline tour on Beggars.) We’re looking forward to it.

What makes it a weaker set with the GDB? Less of a chance for him to mix it up aka mostly Brother's Blood and closing the set with "Brother's Blood" ? Maybe we can hope for Holland 1945!

When I saw him support Brand New he did School by Nirvana. That was cool, that is the only opinion I really have of him though.

I would rather see Kevin Devine with his band on this tour. He can do songs that he can't pull off solo. And especially since these are all big venues, the band will be better. If it was a smaller place I wouldn't have a preference.

Hey everyone. First, thanks for all the support and kindness and grace that everyone has shown to us and my family in light of the last tour being cancelled.
Secondly, we are really excited to get back out on the road next week and we are hoping to see you all there. We are pulling out some songs we haven’t played in a while (even a couple shredders) and are practicing this week. Also, the set should be changing a fair amount, possibly half the set changing from one night to the next. We’ll see how that goes, but that’s how we are practicing.
Lastly, don’t read ahead if you haven’t watched the last episode of Lost.
Dude. Really? Worst ending of a show ever. It was like watching a 2 year try to dazzle you with a sleight-of-hand trick.
Love you all – see you very soon.

19 songs? That's sweet. It's nice to see "To Awake And Avenge The Dead," "Child Of Dust," and "Image Of The Invisible" on there, too. The only thing I would change is to have "The Earth Will Shake" as the encore closer. I love "Beggars," but "The Earth Will Shake" is just the perfect way to end IMO. Great setlist, I'm pumped to see this on monday.

I posted this in the Thrice official thread but I will put it here as well, Set list is a little different from what was posted earlier.
Just got back from seeing Thrice in Seattle. I have never had a show experience dragged down for me because of the crowd, that changed tonight. I was right near the front, right in front of Ed, I thought it was going to be a good night. The trouble started with the guy RIGHT behind me who continually yelled "T and C" every chance he got (I understand guys like this are at every show, but this guy was way over the top." Two or three fights broke out near me, one ended with a girl who was just minding her own business getting pushed to the ground. Instead of chanting "one more song" after the initial set ended, there was a pretty big group chanting "Deadbolt," which I thought was pretty disrespectful. Thrice stayed classy throughout and delivered an awesome set. Aside from the crowd it was a great show. i'm a little tired so this may be missing a song or two, but the set looked something like this
(not in order)
Silhouette
Artist
Abolition of Man
Image of the Invisible
The Earth Will Shake
Atlantic
Hold Fast Hope
Of Dust and Nations

Yo. Just got back from the Edmonton show. Both Kevin Devine and Thrice killed it. These setlists are in order.
Kevin Devine
1. Brother's Blood
2. Carnival
3. Another Bag Of Bones
4. Cotton Crush
5. I Could Be With Anyone
6. Just Stay
7. (A song I didn't know)
8. (Another one I didn't know....it was about New York)
I'm only really familiar with Kevin's last two albums, so the last two songs were either from an older album, or they were new. Kevin and the band were amazing; I was very impressed. "Brother's Blood" is a monster live.
Thrice
1. All The World Is Mad
2. The Weight
3. The Artist In The Ambulance
4. Of Dust And Nations
5. The Earth Will Shake
6. Firebreather
7. The Messenger
8. Atlantic
9. Circles
10. Where Idols Once Stood
11. Come All You Weary
12. Doublespeak
13. A Song For Milly Michaelson
14. In Exile
15. Image Of The Invisible
16. The Abolition Of Man
------------------------
17. Stand And Feel Your Worth
18. Child Of Dust
19. Beggars
The crowd was surprisingly great, the song choices were great, it was a great show. I don't know why they don't play "Image Of The Invisible" more, though. That song was great to see live. I was kinda bummed about the lack of "Silhouette," "Daedalus," and "Hold Fast Hope," but it was still awesome and they threw in a couple songs that hadn't been played on the tour yet.

5. I Could Be With Anyone
6. Just Stay
7. (A song I didn't know)
8. (Another one I didn't know....it was about New York)
I'm only really familiar with Kevin's last two albums, so the last two songs were either from an older album, or they were new. Kevin and the band were amazing; I was very impressed. "Brother's Blood" is a monster live.
Thrice
1. All The World Is Mad
2. The Weight
3. The Artist In The Ambulance
4. Of Dust And Nations
5. The Earth Will Shake
6. Firebreather

9. Circles
10. Where Idols Once Stood
11. Come All You Weary

Hey! I was at the same show, and thanks sooo much for posting the setlist, I was trying to remember whether it was atlantic or open water they played. Where Idols Once Stood was great, though I agree, I wish they had played Silhouette, Deadalus, Hold Fast Hope and The Melting Point of Wax. I remember they played Deadalus and Silhouette last time at Red's though. Kevin's show was great too, Brother's blood, just stay and I could be with anyone was pretty awesome. I talked to Kevin just before Beggars was played, he's actually a pretty cool guy, he mentioned that he hadn't been in Alberta for a while and it was nice to see it again.
What I don't get is how there is always that one damn guy yelling T&C, every time...
Oh well, I hope all of you people waiting on Thrice have an even better experience than I did, and last night was one of the best nights of my life.
Yo. Just got back from the Edmonton show. Both Kevin Devine and Thrice killed it. These setlists are in order.

First of all, welcome!
Yeah I saw the show at Red's last time they were here too. "Silhouette" was probably the highlight of the night for me there, so that's why I was kinda disappointed with not hearing it again. I didn't hear anyone yelling T&C, but there was a couple who were standing behind me who kept yelling for Deadbolt....those were the only really annoying people that I heard, though. It was a pretty great night, I was super happy that they switched from Red's to the Starlite Room as well. Starlite is probably my favorite venue in Edmonton.
Thanks for the warm welcome!
And agreed, every show I've seen at Starlite has been great, it'd actually be nice working there, I'd imagine. The highlight last time was definitely Silhouette, I was covering the same song with my band for a battle of the bands days after as well, so it amplified the performance. It was great to hear The Earth Will Shake though, I believe we managed to shake the floor up a bit with that song ha.
Yeah the guy yelling for T&C wasn't too loud, except in my ear since he was right beside me, but what I wanted to hear was "The Melting Point of Wax", Thrice barely ever plays that song. I was glad they played Of Dust and Nations and Stand and Feel Your Worth though, great songs off of Vheissu.

I was thinking the same thing last night about how awesome it'd be to work there. And yeah, I could definitely feel the floor moving during "The Earth Will Shake," and in a couple of others songs as well. I'd love to see "The Melting Point Of Wax" too, but sadly, that day will probably never come haha

Lost Continent? Cool. Random, but cool.
How long have these shows been for those of you who have gone?
I went to the Seattle show, and I believe Thrice's set clocked in at about 1:30 for 19 songs. I have the setlist plugged into a playlist, and it comes out at 1:23, which makes my estimate sound right ... they don't waste time. :P If I remember correctly, the whole show ran about 3.5 hours.
i can't find calgary's anywhere - did they play All That's Left there?
As it seems I've become the unofficial Thrice Setlist.fm curator, I put up a setlist from a picture posted here that I thought was from the Calgary show -- it had the same first five songs as always -- but apparently it wasn't. That incorrectly matched setlist had All That's Left on it, so that's why it's in the tally posted above.

I was hoping they'd play it in Seattle. Such an underrated song and one of my favorite Thrice songs.

So if the Minnesota show has no Kevin Devine, it'd be about an hour shorter, I'd guess?

That would be my guess. They had a list at the theater that had the exact on-stage times for each band, and I believe Kevin Devine's set was listed as 45 minutes.

Had the pleasure of witnessing a group of tools do coke in front of me before Thrice played. That was interesting. Fantastic show despite a terrible crowd. Bunch of coked out douches, 4 people were taken out by security, and a bunch of fights were started by drunk assholes. I'm not sure what would possess someone to act like that at a show, but whatever. Everything else was awesome.

The Chicago Thrice fans were HORRIBLE...Snorting coke in the pit...screaming out disrespectful things to the supporting fans..There was a Mexican with a mohawk that got caught TWICE stealing peoples wallets and then when someone confronted him THAT guy got kicked out of the show !
But Thrice was amazing pulled out songs that havent played on the tour yet like To Awake and Avenge the dead and The Earth Will Shake !

Stating it again, but Chicago fans were the worst. KD's set was completely muffled by loud conversations. The crowd was obviously there just for Thrice, but some even continued to talk through their set.
Kevin's set was the same as previous shows (BB, Carnival, Another Bag, I Could Be, Just Stay, LCD Soundsystem cover) No Cotton Crush though, pretty disappointed about that.
Thrice was absolutely incredible. I had to leave early unfortunately but here's what I remember:

These days shows are all fucked up, this past year saw Thrice, Thursday, Dillinger Escape Plan, Everytime I Die, Story Of The Year, Silverstein all play fucking amazing sets to half full rooms, yet All Time Low or We The Kings comes through and plays the same room and sells out in 2 days
thats why I make it my job to go to as many shows as possible so bands like those can keep touring and playing awesome shows

06/30/10, 08:53 AM
Yeah, at the Chapel Hill/Carrboro show when they came out for the encore, some fan yelled "I know you're not a jukebox, but please play Red Sky!" and the crowd started cheering for it, so they changed whatever song they were going to play and played Red Sky instead. Dustin said something along the lines of that being a "rare" thing for them to do.
It was a great show. A few songs were played (mainly from Fire and Air) that I would have rather changed out for some stuff from Water and Earth, but it was still great.
I thought it was funny, I couldn't go to their last tour, but to see the folks there who were really into moshing and that kind of thing. There were a few songs where they could do it, but most songs just didn't lend themselves to it, but some people tried anyway and then slowly stopped.
I thought ending with Beggars was perfect. That was possibly my favorite song of the night. Such a powerful song.
Thrice was amazing tonight in Orlando.
I liked the first band as well. The Dig? Good stuff.

07/02/10, 08:54 AM
I'd usually write a bit more, but I'm missing a computer and just using my phone for the time being. I'd seen the Dig before with Portugal, and they were great each time. I'd never really listened to The Bad Veins, who put on a good show.
I mainly came for KD and Thrice, however and both acts impress me more and more each time I see them. Kevin talked a bit on stage about how Disney's HOB booked them and then told them they could not sell shirts reading "The Goddamn Band". Setlist was more or less the same as the rest of the tour. I called out to Strandberg as he packed up his guitar and asked for a setlist. He threw a pocket sized mini piece of paper with the set on it. I'll try to get a picture. Anyway:
Yr Husband
Carnival
Another Bag of Bones
Cotton Crush
I Could Be With Anyone
Buried by the Buzz
Just Stay
She Stayed as Steam
Brother's Blood
I have Teppei's setlist as well, but I have to run to class. I'll type that up in a bit.

St.Pete got Helter Skelter and Come all You Weary last night. Unfortunately, the deadbolt hecklers were also out in full force.
Kevin is the nicest person ever. We chatted for a while before his set at the merch table and I picked up the Brothers Blood vinyl. He remembered me from his show last May at Orpheum. His set was great as usual.
As for Bad Veins, I was very impressed. Very good live.
Thrice, oh Thrice....great set.
I jacked Teppie's setlist during the time before the encore.
All the World

Dust

Thrice killed it in St. Pete, though The Dig and Bad Veins just needed to hurry the fuck up.
jealous about blood clots and black holes. love that song.

Hit me up with a setlist if you can when you get back, please. I'm seeing them in Dallas on thursdaay and since they normally do any every other day kind think, I'm wondering what I'll get. Also let me know about when the hit the stage. I have some nerve damage and I can't stand for really long periods of time. Hope you're having a good time.

Sorry I'm late with the Dallas setlist. I got one and was able to hang after by the bus to get Dustin to sign it behind a couple of really weird guys. Like creepy Thrice stalkers. They're my favorite band, but they kind of freaked me out. Dustin got grabbed at the end of Beggars and you could tell that he was pretty upset, but when he came out he was his normal incredibly nice self. Riley was wearing his Angels shirt to mess with Rangers fans, but he can suck it because we got Cliff Lee today. Thrice played an VERY tight set, I only caught a couple things wrong like an accidentally played string because of rocking out to hard. If you have to look that hard to find a flaw in a bands live show then you know you're watching greatness. Dustin seems like he's still getting over that tour cold when he talks, but you wouldn't notice it when he's singing. Here is the setlist:
World is Mad
Weight
Artist
Dust and Nations
Earth Will Shake
Firebreather
Messenger
Burn the Fleet
Song for Milly
Circles
Doublespeak
Bloodclots
Silhouette
Weary
In Exile

Helter Skelter
Beggars
We didn't get Red Sky, but we did get Helter Skelter which I'll trade because I hadn't seen it live yet.
Didn't stay for Thrice in Tulsa last night, but here's Kevin Devine's set:
Ballgame (solo)
Just Stay
Carnival
Another Bag of Bones
Cotton Crush
I Could Be With Anyone
Buried by the Buzz
She Stayed As Steam
Brother's Blood
It's in order for the most part... only placement I'm not really sure of is "I Could Be With Anyone." It was a good show; not one of his best, but still solid. "Ballgame" was an unexpected treat.

Just got back from the show in Salt Lake City and as expected it was fantastic! All of the opening acts were good, however I still feel Thrice's last tour with The Dear Hunter and Polar Bear Club were better opening acts to get you ready to see Thrice. Kevin, Bad Veins and the Dig probably each had close to 6-8 songs and the crowd was really only into Kevin and his damn band. The crowd was very mellow the whole show until Thrice came out and the crowd never really quit moving and getting into every song. Thrice played alot of songs from Beggars as expected, however I was very surpised at how many people in the crowd actually knew the songs. Members from all of the opening acts helped drum for Firebreather and also came out and sang the back up vocals for Image of the Visible which was just very cool to see. I was very please with the setlist and the crowd favorites were The Artist, Image, World is Mad, Avenge the Dead and Dust and Nations. For people who may be seeing Thrice for the first time on this tour, you are in for a very great show!
Dustin did say and I quote "We will be going back into the studio soon to start recording"

They didn't play Silhouette?
Still, awesome setlist. Very excited for the new album.
They played Silhouette right after Blood Clots, overall I felt like they had a great mix of songs. These guys are so solid! I caught the part where Dustin said they'd be recording soon, I hope this is true. I can never get enough of this band!

Going to the Pomona show tomorrow night. Should be fun. Is the Thrice merch really lame? I was hoping to get a hoodie.
Im going to the show in San Diego today, its my 8th time seeing Thrice and they still play stuff I haven't seen live before, that's why I keep going to see them every time they come here.

At the Tempe date, I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed The Dig and Bad Veins. They were both extremely fun bands to listen to.
Those four bands are amazing in their own way but has distinct sounds so I thought it's so random they're touring together.
I saw Thrice for the 4th time tonight. They're amazing as always but I still haven't get a picture with Dustin yet :-(

Good setlist
From NYC (http://absolutepunk.net/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=71341262),
- Hold Fast Hope, + Blood Clots
- Come All You Weary, + Red Sky
- Stand and Feel Your Worthy, +Helter Skelter
"Red Sky" should have replaced "Stand" in NYC for the best setlist yet.
I went to the SD date on Friday, but i left after K. Dev's set. Got to chat with him before and after, such a down to earth and nice guy.
It was a solid set, but he changed things up a bit:
Just Stay
Yr Husband
Another Bag of Bones
Cotton Crush
I Could Be With Anyone
Buried by the Buzz
She Stayed As Steam
Brother's Blood
A bit disappointed that he didn't play Ballgame or the LCD Soundsystem cover, but I guess beggars can't be choosers.
