Another solid drive-thru release =)
I hope they put up some really good pre-order offer soon, because this is something where I'd actually get it this far in advance.

this cd is fucking amazing... and it WILL be worth the wait. I guess DTR finalized their new distro deal, so it's in the best interest of the bands (HIPV and HOF included) to push back their releases to the new year. Can't wait till Jan 9 now.
I personally think DTR does a really good job of of giving bands a long period of time to record/write/release a full length. To be honest i think its a smart decision to sign a band quickly release an ep or something and from then on give them a huge push into the 'scene.' Its what has worked for many of their bands and its working well still. 07 might very well be a solid come back for the label, they've had a pretty good year so far and i hope they have an even better one next year...
Im also really happy to see that they're still backing nfg regardless if they're on geffen.

Man, I don't know how true this is... (no offense to you Katie at all), it's just that people from the shows have been saying October sometime AND in my HGB cd I got the other day they had a smapler with "Ready And Willing" on it... I don't know why DTR would put this song on a sampler nearly 5 months before a cd came out ya know? I'm still crossing my fingers for October cause it's gonna be FUCKING awesome!

I was afraid you'd say that :( Oh well, better late than never I suppose... but if their already done and it's not coming out until January, then I suppose that the HIPV date in the "releases" section is wrong too eh? (Oct. 31) since they're not even finished yet. shit. :(

Unfortunately, no. :[ Jordan, the drummer right now, isn't sure what he's going to do after this tour with Houston Calls gets over. I hope that he stays as the drummer!

DTR's push-backs are as predictable as the weather. Really, who didn't see this coming? 100 bucks say we won't be seeing HIPV's new album in 2006.
maybe they said january just for safety, if it will come out in october that makes me a lot happier, and i hope hipv won't be pushed back

I didn't even know that was a possibility, so yeah, I doubt it.

Not that I care if that guy should be in school or if Richard is a "homosexual pedophile ". I do know that he actually has had band members who are meeting with him walk on his back from time to time. But hey ..you cant blame the guy for getting a few knots out from time to time

Drive Thru is a shit label? Well why dont you start up a label and prove to us that you can run one/know what it takes to be an indie label. So unless you are in the biz and the politics behind it...please sit back down and don't talk unless you have something constructive to say & can actually back up your statements.
As for your 2nd comment, it's not really "cool" to joke about pedophile's...well maybe it is for you but in the real world, that isn't something that is a "funny" topic.
God i can't believe i took the time to reply back to such a sh!t head....

yea well drive thru apparently wanted to delay it... remember halifax, TEN, rx bandits
I'm thinking it's gonna be worth the wait.
im surprised if they resigned with sanctuary they've given them alot of problems in the past, but oh well. As well the pedofile thing should not of been said. However, i've also heard many things from bands about richard asking bands to walk on his back, maybe the dudes really got a bad back. At the end of the day richard>Tony B.

i seriously doubt drive-thru WANTS to "push back" releases (it's not being pushed back since an official release date was never announced until now).... but keep in mind that indie labels rarely release album in november and december since that's when the majors flood the market with huge releases for the holidays. they just can't compete with that, so it's either get the albums out by october or wait til january.

They're still w/ Sanctuary...but just got some deal where they're actually getting distributed through Sony/Red...so it should work out a lot better for the bands. That sucks about the late release, but I'm sure there's good reason for it.

I like your logic, the holiday market will be flooded w/greatest hits/special packages/etc and a little indie release ( i love SAG but its no kelly clarkson <thank god>) will be easily overlooked by those outside the fan base. And money will be tight since all the holiday spending, those that may want to buy the cd may opt not too...so a delayed release makse sense. I see it, either do it in october or wait until the holidays pass.
Still uber excited bout SAG release along w/HIPV.

january may be really far away, but this cd is so good that it will be well worth the wait. they just better release another track or two between now and then to tide us over.

Rushmore sure does take its time releasing albums.
January is far away, but look at it this way - it may be the first good release of 2007. Looking forward to it!
