If you like heavy metal, they're considered one of the best metal bands of all times. Their instrumentation is unbelievably talented. The vocals aren't my favorite but it does go with the music.

If you don't like the band, what's the point in even viewing this thread to bash them? Fuck off.

lamb of god do not suck. they are more talented than most of the bands in the genre, are they my favorite, no...but to say they flat out suck is dumb.

You might not like them, and that's fine, but they don't suck. That would imply that either:

a) they have no talent

or

b) they aren't successful

Both of which are untrue...if you don't like them, cool, but I didn't ask you, this wasn't a thread about whether you like them or not, so I think it's unnecessary to hear your opinion about it. Otherwise I could care less.

Heavy metal got its names from the best bands ever in the genre... zeppelin, black sabbath and hendrix.. Sure the definition of heavy metal has changed a lot since then, but they are still the best. And anyways, there are better out right now( mastodon, black dahlia murder).. and thats not even venturing into other forms of "metal"

Great band. The new CD is solid. I was weary at first becuase the verses on the single are a little.. off, but the rest of the CD is redeeming.

I don't like them because they're acclaimed in magazines either, I was just proving that they're a successful band. I really don't listen to them (like I said) for the vocals but more for the raw energy of the instrumentation. It's just sweet.

wesgemm08, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the entire point of wesgemm's post was that heavy metal has changed, but it started with bands like Sabbath and Zepplin, so to say LOG is one of the best ever is very far off.

I don't really like the newer LoG cds much at all. I don't mind new american gospel but I bought Black Dahlia Murder instead and was pleased. They're not a terrible band, but I am not interested in whatever it is they are doing.

The new album is fucking ridiculous. I like the subtle incororation of melody on this album, while at the same time remaining just as heavy (even with some cool southern pantera-esque riffing/vocals and some definate black metal influences). If you don't like this band cool, I don't really expect a lot of people on this website to. But if you're into thrash, death, or just balls out heavy metal in general this is a kick ass record. It's definately refreshing to see a band like this who just released their second major label album and hasn't attempted to change their sound at all still recieve mainstream appeal. But once again, it doesn't matter if some (or most, rather) of you don't like this band. To each his own. I happen to love this band though and I think this record fucking rules.
