It's fun, you learn a lot, and yes you can very hard to get it through.
If you are thinking of joining the military then this class would be excellant

would this would look good on your college application if you do 4 years of this?
i don't plan on joining the military, but i do know if you join, you can skip upto E3 if you do this for 3 years i think...

if you accept an ROTC scholarship, i think you have to enlist afterwards, at least thats what ive been told.

It would probably be worth the experience, I'm not sure about having to enlist for the scholarship. I think in most cases they would want you to enlist.
I did it for a year. Its pretty cool. Go for it.

umm... we get to design the patch w/ our school, and the one that gets the most votes will be the patch to represent.

rotc is for fucking spazzes.
five kids at my school (FUCKING FIVE!) got appointments to service academies this past year and not a one of them was in jrotc.
point being that it doesn't help you at all.

I should have gone ROTC and done the officer program but I'm quite education-dismissive. I joined the Navy at age 21, as an E1, and am barely getting by. I am a minimalist though. The world's problems don't affect me personally, and I don't see a huge point in building my brain when it won't matter by the time I'm dying. Do what you want. Fuck. You're 14. I was beyond clueless as a freshman. Didn't even know what the military WAS back then.

My roommate is in ROTC now and signed into the Air Force for the next 11 years.
