Do you guys have any bands that you don't really share with your friends? I don't mean like a big band either, but I have two bands that I've been really into that I just don't share with my friends because I don't want my friends to ruin them for me. haha.

That's weird, lol. I always share my favorite bands with people so they can get larger. I guess I could understand though if you have a guilty pleasure...

Another thing.. Honestly I really only pay attention to bands if they have released decently recorded stuff. Unless they really blow me away, that is.

For whatever reason, Post-Punk never got much media attention, though Joy Division is fairly well regarded nowadays. In any case, The Sound were every bit as good as Joy Division and received far less recognition. In my opinion, it's the 80's' best kept secret.

Most people I know don't know any bands I thought were relatively famous. The closest they get to the scene is My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy. Anyone less famous, and they have never heard of them.
