The following is a mini interview of generic questions that we posed to all bands that wanted to answer:
The Honesty

1. How did you get your band name?
The name The Honesty is something we thought would be easy to remember and would reflect what we wanted to do musically, which is to just make good, honest music that we hope everyone and anyone can relate to.
2. How did this band get started?
Mikey: I started this band after leaving my last band The Bigger Lights (Doghouse Records), wrote a bunch of tunes and started searching for members on myspace. Tasha contacted me and we met on the Manatour (Hit The Lights, There For Tomorrow) when I was working for Sparks The Rescue.
3. What bands are you influenced by?
We are influenced by too many bands to named, but the more prominent bands are Anberlin, The Almost, Taking Back Sunday, Paramore, and Acceptance.
4. If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would it be and why?
We'd do anything to tour with just about anyone. We love being on the road and having the chance to tour with new bands, make new friends, and see new things. If we could make a dream tour, it'd probably be Anberlin, Paramore, The Almost, us, and Vedera.
5. If you were a furry, what animal would you be? Why that animal?
Tasha: I'd be a monkey because then I could climb on trees.
Mikey: I'd also be a monkey because they've always been my favorite animal.
6. Why should people listen to your band?
We think if you listen to our music you will hear good, honest music that packs a punch, is catchy, and will make you want to come back for more.
7. If you were chosen to be in Guitar Hero/Rock Band, what song would you want in the game? How hard do you think it would be to five-star on expert?
If one of our songs could be in either game we'd probably choose our single "Intentions". It'd probably be pretty hard to five-star on expert because it's a pretty complex song and it's real quick tempo and upbeat.
8. If you won a Grammy, who would you thank?
If we won a Grammy we'd thank our families, friends, producer Joel, and everyone else that's helped us get to where we are today. We'd thank our fans most importantly because we clearly wouldn't be where we are today without them.
9. If you could change something about the music industry, what would it be?
If we could change something about the music industry it'd probably be to get back to the creativity behind music, rather than coming out with albums just to make profit.
10. Memorable tour experience?
We have yet to play a show, but we'll let you know!
11. What does AP.net mean to you?
AP.net is an amazing place to get your music heard. We're so grateful that we've been chosen to be promoted on this site.
12. What is your favorite song to play?
Our favorite song is probably "Miss. Make Believe" because it's just our all around favorite song on the album.
13. What is your vacation spot of choice?
Laguna Beach, California.
14. What music reminds you of your childhood?
Tasha: N'Sync
Mikey: Blink 182
15. If you could have any super power, what would it be? Why?
Tasha: Being invisible, so I could hear anyone that talks about me.
Mikey: I'd want the power to fly and breathe underwater, but I think that'd be two powers so I'd just want the power to fly. It'd be cool to fly, and quicker travel!
16. Do you feel that your band has "made it"?
No we haven't made it yet, but we hope to one day. We're still a relatively new band.
17. What is something that most fans don't know about you?
Most fans don't know how much time we try to spend talking to them. We try to be around as much as possible for anyone to hit us up, even if it's just to talk about music.
18. What's your favorite holiday?
Tasha: Christmas
Mikey: Christmas
19. What do you like to do in your spare time?
We hang out, write a lot, practice, and do a lot of stuff online with our fans. Other than all that, we're pretty normal people.
20. What kind of hidden talents do you have?
Tasha: I'm a basketball star.
Mikey: I played all the instruments on our debut EP 'The Things We'll Never Know'
