60 years after originally being worked on, there will be a new movie written from Kubrick:

This looks interesting. Kubrick is amazing. Interested to see what happens with this.

And Sam Rockwell only strengthens this.

I wonder if the director will try to direct it in the most Kubrickian style possible. Trying to mimic someone like Kubrick would be nearly impossible, so this could be very messy. Still very interested to see what happens.

A difference in opinion, hmmm? Any particular reason why (I'm not calling you out for not being super excited, I'm honestly just curious)?

like someone already pointed out A.I. sucked, and the director is either going to try and copy Kubrick, which will probably suck. or they will do their own thing and it won't feel like a Kubrick movie.

There's a good chance this might end up being a disaster, but we'll see.

Fair enough, I always forget about A.I.. on purpose perhaps. I guess I'm more excited for the prospect of this being a good movie but it may be better to reserve it a bit. It's just hard for me because, Kubrick aside, I love Sam Rockwell and all things Sam Rockwell related so I'm almost more excited about that anyway.
