The story is unlike any other (well, on PS3) and it's so gripping you don't wanna let go.

My ending was Jayden died fighting Scott, which bummed me out because Jayden was my favorite. Ethan saved Shaun in time which was surprising because I didn't do the shoot the guy in the face trial, so I had to guess between three locations. Then Ethan got shot and killed by the cops because when I was Madison I hit the wrong button when tryin to stop the cops. Scott got shot in the face by the hooker. Madison is at some book signing and some guy (you don't see him) says next time she needs more of a challenge and disappears.

Oh, so yours was almost the worst ending possible. If you let Scott live and Madison die (along with Ethan and Jayden), that's probably the worst ending. For me, Jayden died whenever he was at his office and around the end of the game, his eyes started to bleed from the ARI technology and he just dropped dead at his office desk. I was like WTF?

You make so many choices in the game.
Hence you get one out of (from what I saw on youtube) 18 epilogues.

I've had two different endings (as I completed the ending two times since I wasn't pleased with my first outcome).
First Outcome:
Madison called Norman. Ethan figures it out. Norman was killed by Scott, and Ethan was shot to death by the cops in front of Shaun (depressing). Scott gets away, Madison was put in the squad car and proceeded to write a book. Ultimately, Lauren kills Scott.
Second Outcome:
Madison called Norman again this time. Ethan also figured out the location again. Norman wins in the fight with Scott, spares his life, and ultimately kicks him into the pit. Madison warns the police and Ethan and Shaun walk away safely. Norman ends up on a talk show and has "the tank ending", Madison writes her book again, and Ethan and Shaun move in to a new apartment happily.

I wanna try to get your 1st ending.

If you had Jayden and Ethan figure it out, or have Madison call whoever hadn't figured it out, all you need to do is mess up the motorcycle scene with Madison and Ethan dies and mess up the scene where Norman fights Scott, and you should get my first ending.

Such a good game. Originally I had every survive except Scott, which I assume is the best ending then I ran through it again and again, and got many many more endings haha.

I dunno. I thought it was cooler than good. Don't get me wrong, the story was fantastic. What wasn't fantastic was the weird foreign voice acting and lack of actual game play. It was a great idea and well written, just not executed as well as I think this (new?) genre can be.

This was one of the best games I've played for along time. If you have managed to avoid all spoilers and have a spare day or so, I highly recommend you buy this game and get involved. They seem to be planning to release a lot of download content in the future too (iirc) so its well worth getting it in and keeping it.

the problem is major publications are often paid off, and it's hard to know when:
major criticism is:
So you can hold a button and read your characters thoughts. Only the gimmick is one of your characters IS the killer. So why when he's talking to the mother of someone whom he knows he KILLED her son, he doesn't think "man I killed her son" at any point while talking about it? He knows who he is.
The other MAIN problem is it is not a game where you are really in control of anything. Even in games that are linear and "RPGs" like Mass Effect or even JRPGs, there is a set path you must follow, BUT you feel like you are actually the character, not just controlling another person. In Heavy Rain I knew what the character is supposed to do because they already have personalities. It's like you're just a puppet master. Yes, it's funny to have them do something ridiculous, like try to let the guy's son die, but it's cruel because you feel like you're just fucking up a movie, and not making your own decisions.

So I rented this game because of the great reviews I've been reading about. I really like it, but I can't get over the soft-touch combos that they make you do. How do you all get these combos to work as I am really having trouble with this!

I liked the french anime that was featured throughout the game haha.
just finished this. the story is pretty fucked up but i liked the game. also did anyone feel as though "mad jack" sounded like a white dude? haha
Haven't played this game in a while. I should buy it again and go through it. What was everyone's ending? Mine the mother died, the FBI agent died, and I believe the father died, while the bad guy got away. It's been a while, I don't remember exactly. I was sad that the FBI guy died.

Loved this game, only played it once but then my best friend played it one night and we genuinely just sat with beers whilst I watched her complete it in one go. It's not boring to watch at all. I got the best possible ending on my go which was everybody living except Scott.
