the only thing "ground-breaking" about this cd is the noise itll make when i smash the cd against the ground. the only people that should buy that album are the ones that watch disney channel.

bashing gc doesn't make you elitist, it just means you have a sense of hearing. i'd wager that most people on here that shit on gc (including myself) listen to blink-182 and fall out boy. i'll end on a positive note though and say that their first album (self-titled) was decent.

You all realize why their first and latest cd bombed right? The record company saw potential in them during their first cd. The company put LOADS of money in their second cd, the only cd of their that had radio hit songs, by having professionals write most of their music, lyrics ect. And look. They put out their own cd the 3rd time around, with their own guitar riffs, their own lyrics, and what does it do again? Bomb. They need all the help they can get to have a decent cd.
And because of someone elses work, they're living "The lifestyle's of the rich and the famous..."

yes, blink has always made good music, while "from under the cork tree" and anything after GC's first album has been complete garbage.
i am interested to hear what the new GC will sound like, although im not going to expect anything good. maybe if they went back to a more pop/punk/rock sound they might do something decent.

And FOB were more influenced by Lifetime and Saves The Day. Hell, theres even one interview in Alternative Press where Pete almost bashes blink in a way. After he's talking about how formulaic most pop punk is, he says "We're playing these shows with blink, but we're playing the stage you needed a trail map and a dagger to get to" or something to that extent. Almost like he was saying blink followed a simple formula to get famous.
