I agree with your first statement, but your second -- they are the shop managers not receptionists. Essentially they run the shop while the artists work. Completely different than a normal "manager" position, but still I get your point, and to respond correctly... I have no fucking clue why they keep hiring these brainless goons.

Its fourth and final season ends in 2008, airing on TLC, but the tattoo artists, and the shop itself, have already moved on. The famous studio has been converted into a gift shop, and customers still looking to get inked are directed to a new studio MI alumni Ami James and Chris Núñez opened up down the street in Miami: Love Hate Tattoos.

That's the tattoo shop where everyone who works at High Voltage who quits/gets fired goes to. Why the fuck it's on the show is a mystery to me. Maybe to start drama? Who knows.

I read an interview straight from Kat's mouth that said TLC has been hiring all the people to work there since, like, halfway through season 3. Right after Pixie got shit-canned, TLC took all the control and started hiring all the bimbos and goons

My friend has a friend who works there as an artist and HE (my friend) is there on a daily basis. Kat, none of the people there, would ever, EVER even HIRE Aubrey, or the other two who coincidentally they just "hire" then drama, then fire, and same thing with Liz. It is so far-fetched and ridiculous. How is it that hard to believe those characters those aren't legitimate? You think Kat, as a businesswoman and shop owner and everyone else who works there is just all equally as stupid and it coincidentally makes for a good, dramatic Hills-esque half hour?
