NTFP, I was excited that they made it their single for New Surrender, but it really felt like they took some of the power out of it.

I think if they took the guitar intro from the New Surrender version and added it to the NTFP version it would be perfect. I voted NTFP.

I think, overall, it sounds better on New Surrender, but the scream at the end of the bridge on the NTFP version adds to much intensity to the song, so it's a bummer they took it out.

The version on NFTP is way more raw and more emotional. While the New Surrender is cleaner and has a little better instrumentation, the vocals aren't powerful enough on that one.

This is exactly what I was going to say.

Despite the superior intro of the New Surrender version, it is way too clean. The Never Take Friendship Personal version is the song that go me into Anberlin. It's aggressive and rough and just all around great.

NTFP, definitely.

Never heard it, I don't even know who it's by, but I doubt anyone could do a better job than Aaron Sprinkle at pretty much anything.

NTFP, for sure.

NTFP hands down. I don't know what made them think they could improve an already amazing song.

You don't know who it's by but you know that one of them was produced by Aaron Sprinkle?

The guitar-lead to open the track on the Never Take Friendship Personal version is a good segue-way. Plus, it's fun to listen to Stephen Christian scream during the refrain "failure is your disease!". Nice.

And it makes all the difference. I like the emotion the screaming puts into it.

Definitely the NTFP one, though if the guitars from New Surrender were combined with the original vocals....

The version on New Surrender seemed to have all the passion taken out of it. My favorite part of the song was the bridge, which in the Never Take version included screaming but the NS version didn't. I do think the NS version was sung better, though.
