That is gayer than taking one up the back passage from a man called Jessica in a back ally behind a homosexual dance club

He's got a lot of hype, I'm looking forward to hearing it.

If he had a penis in his mouth and a rainbow coming out from his butt, then he couldn't be gayer.

Yeah kick, push, coast is real terrible.

Still better than AOF.

before I went into this forum, I knew this was a mikeford thread.

That being said, I don't think he could be.

Unless him and Kanye were a little more friendly than it appears.

I agree. He could not be gayer. I hate the idea of the single and probably won't check this one out.

Dude going in to this cd I expected something kind of beat, I am actually pretty impressed. Lupe has a unique flow about him. I for one am quite satisfied with this album.

This album is kinda overrated, I was expecting a lot more.

Lupe is the future. Hate all you want but he's the best "freshman" in rap right now.

mikeford
11/16/06, 08:47 PM
lupe cant rap and i can name at least 2 MCs from NYC alone that dont have studio albums that are better than him, so he's far from the best "freshman" in hip hop

Saigon and Papoose

learn things.

I'm not a huge papoose fan and i don't know saigon that well.

I think Lupe has some really good songs like American Terrorist and a few others and he generally has a decent set of production (except mike shinoda-dude needs to fix the sounds of his drums and not use elaborate piano effects in every song)

I believe you don't like him because he just isn't your style of rap my friend.

I would honestly rather have that then have him rap about how big his rims are, how he capped some dude, or how he fucks bitches. Not saying that those 2 guys you mentioned do it though.

having money, shooting people and fucking girls is cool

having soap is uh..... something everyone does? i cant fathom why you would want to listen to that. at all.

MC HIRO
11/18/06, 11:51 AM
Lupe is lyrically light years beyond Saigon (who is a good rapper still) and don't get me started on subject matter either.

And while Lupe and Papoose are comparable lyrically, subject matter again cripples Papoose from ever being anything more than just another gangsta rapper with good lyrical skills.

Is this where I put "learn things" ?

mikeford
11/18/06, 01:12 PM
no because you enjoy some dude who raps about soap over a dude who raps about much better "lyrical content"

Soap is your one example? Have you heard American Terrorist? Or the plenty of verses serving as Hip-Hop commentary on how fucked up the game is right now? Or just rapping about regular people with regular problems for those of us who don't sell crack or kill people?

Yeah. Why would Jay-Z executive produce a CD from any old generic rapper? That's right. He wouldn't.

i'm generally not in to any current rap, but i fucking love this album.

for the most part at least. i can do without the first five tracks and a few at the end. but 11 of the 18 tracks are fucking great. it's the first rap cd i've gotten into in years.

Might be one of the most retarded things i've ever heard....it's much worse when it's rapped about...over....and over...and over.

It was bad enough the first time.

That's almost as ignorant a statement. Not because the blood brothers are amazing or anything like that, just because it is stupid.
