Dustin Kensrue Solo Album Pushed Back [Archive]

Dustin Kensrue (http://www.myspace.com/dustinkensrue)'s solo album will not be coming out until January 2007 now. Read an update from the man himself below.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who came out to the shows. It was a lot of fun and hopefully I will be back out there sometime soon. Sorry to everyone in the many, many places I have not made it to by myself yet. I'm pretty busy recording for my own record and for Thrice as well, so I just don't have time for a full U.S. tour, not to mention other countries. And though the record is coming well, it looks like it is going to be coming out a little bit later than I thought. Almost for sure, it will come out on January 23rd due to other stuff that is not musically related. Anyway, see you all around, and thanks again. Oh, and for those of you who missed the shows, there is some live footage on YouTube, some of which you can see if you scroll down on my main page.

Judging by the many songs I've heard live, and his amazing ability to cover some amazing artists (Radiohead, The Beatles, Elvis Costello), aaaanndddd his amazing songwriting that is a big part of Thrice....... his new CD will be amazing and I wil spread the love as much as possible.

Go buy Vheissu if you haven't yet, and go buy this one come winter. You won't regret either.

No doubt he has talent. I'll certainly check out both his solo work as well as the new Thrice CD. However, personally I was disappointed by Vheissu; overall it was a great effort but my favorite Thrice CD is The Illusion of Safety. I suppose it's a preference of style.

I think TAITA is my favorite Thrice album.. but anything they've done in the last four years has been stellar.

Why not? I always bold band names and italicize major works. It makes it easier to read.

Not really, considering in the literary world it is correct to italicize major works and put minor works in quotation marks; this extends to the literary online world where groups or entities (such as a band) are put in a bold font to distinguish importance and absolution.

If I am obsessive compulsive enough to do this (as well as the ap.net staff it seems), then fuck off.

I like the songs he has on his Myspace, and I love Thrice, so I'll definately grab both of those when they come out.

I think Vheissu is the best Thrice CD. It's beautiful. I love songs like Atlantic, For Miles, Red Sky, etc. Really shows that Thrice ain't a linear screamo band like most of the other crap out there.
