Sandisk Sansa or something from iRiver. Creative's software sucks and I don't know a thing about Toshiba's, but those are both drag & drop-able.

rio carbonCorrect, but impossible to find. Mine is clinging to dear life after the wheel's popped off it's cog twice and I've had to open the case to fix it.

Probably because they break all the time and are overpriced.

Except, yes. go look up some consumer reports. iPods have the highest malfunction rate of any mp3 player on the market. They're just aesthetically pleasing and status symbols so their sales are through the roof, not to mention the ease of use.

i have a zen micro right now which is alright, but i plan on getting a 60gb. ipod as soon as i have the money for it.
actually, i think i'll go with this (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EHCUIY/sr=8-2/qid=1156367688/ref=pd_bbs_2/104-7259206-1463111?ie=UTF8)
I am so debating whether to get a 30GB iPod Video or a 30GB Creative Vision:M. On one hand, iPods are the only friendly MP3 player to Macs, they are easier to use and have the ability to be hacked (I'd like to upload a few FLAC albums for the ones I listen to a lot). However, the Vision:M has a much wider file support for both video and audio, I have a Zen touch at the moment so I know my way around Creative players and they are much more reliable.
If Creative even remotely supported Macs, I'd get the Vision:M.

see thats why i dont want an ipod, they've become a symbol of status. they're so ubiquitous.
i just feel disgusted when i hear people say "my ipod is part of my body"

Microsoft doesn't make their own computers so why would they do this. I think what you mean is like.. Dell. Dell Jukebox is actually really good. I would say that. Although I wouild really say iPod, since it's the best.

Uh, Microsoft already announced they're launching an mp3 player. This was all over the news about 4 months ago. It's called Zune. And Dell discontinued the Jukebox. Anyways....

DING DING DING!
Thank you scott. Apple also had to pay Creative $100 million to settle the lawsuit today. Creative wins. I have a zen: vision and it is perfection. LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG battery and nearly all file types are supported, whereas the ipod only has shitty itunes files.
I'm a fan of MiniDisc players. You can put alot of music on a $2 MD.

Microsoft>Apple. Therefore I'd buy one of those plus my Uncle works for microsoft so I could get a minimal discount. I can get Microsoft Vista right now for my computer too if I wanted it.

It's free if you take this little quiz at microsoft.com (http://www.microsoft.com/india/offers/vista/quiz.aspx). But who wants to run a beta operating system?
