Her album, Geidi Primes, was recently released. It's worth checking out.

Grimes (http://www.myspace.com/boucherville) is the alias of Claire Boucher, a Montreal-based artist. She recently released a cassette titled Geidi Primes on Arbutus (http://www.arbutusrecords.com/), which you can download for free below. Thirty minutes of psychedelic pop, it sounds a bit like a CocoRosie-Nite Jewel collab. A very good one, I’m really liking Feyd Rautha Dark Heart.

Aha. My brain doesnt connect with this type of music. I don't understand it. It feels shapeless, but, you know, 4 months ago I didn't like Black Dice either and now I do. Maybe I'll come back to this in a bit. Some sort of background context might help, I don't know.

I think "Oblivion" is the first Grimes song I've liked (besides that SXSW video on vimeo) - and I really like it - probably the vocals, love it, I don't know, excited to hear the rest of the record.

Found Grimes the other day. Pretty epic, imo.
Her production isn't amazing, but I feel like that adds to the experience. Kind of like what Cuddlyworthy said, lol. Shitty production being sort of cool.
