Have you been really stressed lately? This happened to me a while ago. I had such bad anxiety for a long time and it led to me getting like 4 nosebleeds in a week. Other than that I've never had a nosebleed.

It's possible to get nosebleeds from stress? Hmmm that could be it I guess considering finals and shit are coming. Were yours like heavy duty nosebleeds though?

And I'll go to a doc after 5 nosebleeds.

Well apparently if you're under a lot of stress it can cause it. But if you're not extremely stressed out than I doubt it. And yeah mine were pretty heavy, it was freaky.

Yes, I get them all the time, randomly. I have a bleeding disorder, though.
I'll just be walking down the street, and bending down to pick something up could trigger blood pouring out for the next half hour. I usually just stick a tampon up my nose for a while.

We're in the middle of nose-bleed season. Like someone else said - the dry air (if your area isn't getting much rain this spring) is the main culprit. Allergies in general can also lead to them. I used to get them all the time when I was a kid. We'd be sitting on the floor in kindergarten for a story or something and my nose would start leaking like a faucet. In middle school I finally asked my doctor if there was anything I could do about it and he recommended a chemical cauterization - seals up the nasal membranes real good!

(Disclaimer: Do not seek cauterization treatment if a) you can't stand stinging sensations like you just got punched in the nose or b) you're afraid to cry in front of your doctor!)

i used to be a serious picker back in elementary school, i'd pick so hard at night in bed that i wouldn't know if it were booger or actual skin. i would normally wake up a few hours later with a nosebleed. i havent had one in forever as the only way i get them is from a hit to the face and now that i haven't wrestled seriously since high school i am fine. it could be just a phase, i dont know what the protocol is for nosebleeds nowadays. it used to be tilt your head back and pinch the bridge of your nose but i heard now they just want you to drain as to not puke by ingesting your own blood

It's normal to me, I get them completely randomly, but mostly when something comes into contact with my nose. Even the littlest of nudges will set one off. A few weeks back i woke up in the middle of one with my face in a little pool of blood. Really not nice.

I would say this makes sense, but it actually rains all the time on my campus, like more than most places. And I have no other allergy symptoms.

Is this a legit reason or a guess? Because this could make sense, I am a vegetarian, do not take iron supplements, and did just donate blood 5 days ago, but the nose bleeding started before to donation.

I know dried blood can be caused by allergies. It's a problem I've run into. That's always a possibility.

During this time of year the air can be really dry with lots of pollen. Not good for your nose/sinus area obviously. I wouldn't worry about a few nosebleeds. I get terrible allergies every year.

You need to buy some saline nasal spray and use it a couple times a day. I suffered from nosebleeds until I started using that stuff. Its very common, you just have dry nasal passages that are getting cracked and bleeding. The spray prevents that.

Yeah, I get them because of dry air, warm air meets really cold air, lack of iron, or if I've been having nosebleeds and my nose is sensitive. But I think you need to get your nostril cauterized; that sounds really abnormal. Not a doctor, but my dad used to have horrible bloody noses often and he had to get his nose cauterized.

ahahah oh gosh that's silly. Now that I think about it, the word "ass" doesn't work well in sentences when typed out, I see everyone's point. When I typed it out, there was was a shitload of emphasis in my head, but I guess it's not the same.

Right on as long as nothing gets infected or weird. Getting cauterized is not fun at first in the slightest (so I've heard), but you have no bloody noses after it, so sounds good to me. Fortunately, I don't get bloody noses often, but they're bad when I do get them.

my friend brandon had real bad nose bleeds and he found our he had a tumor by his nose but closer to his eye ... he could have died if he had one more nose bleed but he had surgery and things are fine now but seeing a doctor might help if you have a nother nose bleed it could be something serious or could be from stress so if i were you i would see a doctor

I had this period of time where I would get them commonly but it just stopped suddenly. We asked our neighbor at the time, who's a nurse, to look at me. She told me to not lean your head back when you get one. That was helpful advice. Otherwise, the blood will go down your throat. So, lean forward and let it come out.

I had this happen to me and it turned out that I had a massive tumor throughout my sinuses and I had to have facial surgery. I'd go to a doctor if you keep having crazy long/extreme nosebleeds.
