What do you think is the best of the recent leaks:
American Slang- Gaslight Anthem

Out of what I've heard, I'm gonna go:
Gaslight Anthem > The National > Band of Horses > The Hold Steady > Blue Sky
I really need to give CS another listen, and the Hold Steady rip I got was subpar quality, but I stand by the first 3 choices. Overall though, all albums were fantastic.

From what I've checked out:
American Slang>Heaven Is Whenever>High Violet>Blue Sky Noise

The others are ready to check out but I can't stop listening to the ones I'm spinning. Especially the new Gaslight. Soooo damned different/good.

Also, this ranking might change when I check out Good Old War tonight.

What did you think of it?

ive only got one listen so far, but i really enjoy it. Defiantly different from the split ep that they did with cast spells. Overall though i can see it as being a perfect summer album.

That's Some Dream is possibly one of my favorite songs by them already. "I'm gonna live, I'm alright. I'm gonna die, it's alright. I'm OK." Such a simple, yet awesome line. Makes for a great chorus.

I kinda just went by the fact that it was online before the actual release. I wasn't gonna include it at first, but then I realized that this is AP and all the posts would be about how I left it out.

i voted Blue Sky Noise. i think Omni is going to be a grower, and i'm really disappointed by Good Old War and Crystal Castles. i haven't heard The Gaslight Anthem's new one, but upon first listen of Foals' Total Life Forever, it is fucking fantastic.

anybody... repeat... ANYBODY voting for Circa REALLY needs to broaden their horizons.

ALL these records (cept for The Black Keys) are better than Circa. Granted, Blue Sky Noise is good, but jesus... there is album of the year material here!

i voted for High Violet, but most any of them work here (EXCEPT CIRCA)

Omni has impressed me much more than the rest of these. Blue Sky Noise is just okay, mediocre at best.

I definitely have to go with the new Black Keys record. All the others were very good as well. Blue Sky Noise and American Slang are almost tied for me. If any of you haven't listened to the Black Keys before you should. There music is timeless, as is the Gaslight Anthem's new record for that matter.

For some reason White Crosses really gets to me (in a positive way.) I can't stop listening to that album. I think the new Gaslight Anthem is alright, but I don't like it as much as their other 3 releases. It'll probably grow on me.

White Crosses definitely isn't bad in my opinion, but the only songs I really love are Because Of The Shame and Bamboo Bones. And yeah I bet it will, it really grew on me as well.

Blue Sky Noise is at the bottom for me... it's not that it's a bad album, but it's just not as good as the others listed.

I don't know who would be my favorite though, probably Omni, Infinite Arms, or Brothers

After spinning them all again a few times, I still say that Blue Sky Noise is the weakest. Definitely should not be leading the poll.
