Placebo is a good band that doesn't really get talked about a lot on this site. These polls let me know about some good bands and what album to start with. So pick your favorite if you're a fan.

Black Market Music. Meds is pretty bad compared to the others. haven't heard the whole Battle for the Sun yet. need to buy it.

I'd say Black Market Music, then Battle for the Sun and Sleeping With Ghosts.
Never got really into this band too much, but Infra-Red is pretty awesome song, so I gave Meds a vote.

Meds is their most consistently good release - all the other ones have great tracks, but often alongside filler too. Battle for the Sun is just a disappointment.

Meds, than Battle for the Sun I guess, these are most filled with great songs... but every album has its moments, you'l find at least three absolute gems on every one. Black Market Music is also good, then there's always the first album...
The best thing about Placebo is you won't find any other band with at least a similar sound, even though BftS was quite a step into the mainstream.

Meds hands down. I need to listen to Battle of the Sun more, though.

Definitely Sleeping with Ghosts...although Black Market Music has some great songs. I mean, all of their albums do, but...to be honest, I'm rather surprised that so many people are going with Meds here. I figured that (like seemingly every band talked about on this site) the majority of users would only appreciate Placebo's first few albums and trash everything afterwards.

true, but on the other hand, Placebo isn't a band usual AP users listen to...

Wow, I can't believe no one has mentioned "Without You I'm Nothing." To me that's a classic, but then again it was one of the first albums i ever heard back when I was 13.. changed my life. Every You Every Me is still one of my favorite songs ever.

what the fuck. Meds? seriously? the four first albums blow that one out of the water. a lot. I know people have different tastes, obviously, but I'd never imagine the art that is Without You I'm Nothing, being pushed down beneath the somewhat ok pop album Meds, where Brian Molko is *still* rehashing the teenage angst he only ever really pulled off on the two first albums.

I feel like this isn't as obvious to you as you know it should be.
I like Sleeping With Ghosts most. Though I haven't heard the s/t or Without You I'm Nothing. Pretty sure I'll get round to Without You eventually.

Without You I'm Nothing has perhaps two best Placebo songs (Every You and Pure Morning) but the rest of the album just fall short...

What about the title track, You Don't Care About Us or Burger Queen?

Not Battle for the Sun, that's for sure.
I went with Sleeping With Ghosts.

Without You I'm Nothing > Black Market Music > Sleeping With Ghosts = Placebo > Meds > Battle for the Sun
Battle for the Sun is the only album I haven't been able to get into by them. Besides that, great fucking band. Without You I'm Nothing is a perfect album.

Wrong. Every track on that album is very good.

For some reason, I could never get into Without You I'm Nothing. "Pure Morning" is probably my favorite Placebo song, but I could never get into the album. It's been a while since I've listened to it in full so maybe I should soon.

Without You I'm Nothing has some of their very best songs, but it also has some pretty dull ones. Meds is the most consistently great, although Battle for the Sun is great too and so is Black Market Music (they are both the most varied). I haven't heard all of Placebo and what I've heard of Sleeping with Ghosts isn't great to be honest.

Or maybe people just have different opinions?
I would rank them like...
Black Market Music > Meds > Without You I'm Nothing > Sleeping With Ghosts > Battle For The Sun > Placebo
