this is somewhat good news.
I wouldn't have cared all that much if they weren't together anymore, but its good to hear they're still a band and going to attempt to make more music.

if you go to river's myspace (www.riverscuomo.com will take you right there) and read his blog, he states matter-of-factly that the band is not broken up. furthermore, he apologizes to the fans and his bandmates for the rumors of breaking up.

i never really got into anything by them cept the blue album... which is quite good.

the blue album and pinkerton are amazing. theyve pretty much gone downhill from there, but its still great to see them play the old stuff live.

Wait, so, when a band never says that they're breaking up, that means... they're not breaking up?

im happy to hear this.
while their recent material has been sub-par compared to blue album and pinkerton, i could always go for more weezer music.

there last albums were good albums, better then 90% of what comes out now a days, but those albums are just so classic that no matter what they do, people will still say they are "sub-par" They arent sub anything when you compare them to what else is out there, there a whole fucking lot better. Weezer could release a world changing, earth shattering record that stays at #1 for 3 years and you people would still call it bad

Pat Wilson pretty much confirmed they weren't breaking up on his Special Goodness site shortly after that mtv interview, but still, good to hear it on the official site.

Also good - bearded Rivers is back! My favourite kind, esp. circa dope nose =D

I'm glad they made this post. Too many of you made the mistake of believing MTV...especially when the article was as sketchy as it was.
I think Make Believe was a great album and they're still one of my favorite live bands around. This is great news.

*crying stars*
08/24/06, 07:36 PM
i hope the new album is going to be good.

08/24/06, 10:04 PM
If you hate on Weezer, please go fuck yourself.

Legends, and Rivers writes songs that will get stuck in your head for ages. Oh, and they've influenced only a host of bands currently touring and recording, so shut the hell up. Please.

So many negative dumbass kids on here lately, WTF?
