Versus The Mirror (http://www.versusthemirror.net) had their trailer stolen in Merritt, British Columbia last night. You can read all about it below, as well as find out on how you can help the guys out.
Terrible news, dudes. Our trailer was stolen last night in a small city called Merritt in BC. We have been on tour with Darkest Hour/Misery Signals/FASSW for three weeks now. Our van was having some problems so we stopped off in the city to get some work done. We were told the van couldn't fixed until the morning and we had to disconnect the trailer. I woke up at 9am to meet the mechanic and our trailer was gone. All of our equipment and all of our merchanise, along with luggage.
In all honesty, this is the worst feeling I have ever felt. I started Versus The Mirror four years ago with our old drummer, Shane and old bassist, Cody. We started it out of the love of music. Never for money, fame, women, etc. Just a few friends playing music in Tucson, AZ. Within the last few years, Equal Vision has given us the opportunity to play music full time, travel everywhere and represent our friends and family through our music. We are very appreciative of everything that has ever been done for us and respect everybody we have came across. Every show to us, whether it was to a few kids or to a lot, we wanted to play. Nobody has ever forced us to play shows. We love music and we love performing. It didn't matter if you were into our music, we are down to have a conversation with anyone about anything.
Everything was in our trailer. Every piece of this band was in there. Everything that I own and that has made up my life over the last few years, is now gone. In the immortal words of Grade, "Where do you start when you are already in the middle of things?" I guess we will have to find out. Versus The Mirror is still alive. We will be jumping back on the Undoing Ruin tour as soon as our van gets repaired. Come to a show and talk to us.
We will be setting up a pay pal pretty soon. If anyone wants to show support, hit us up on Myspace or send us an email direct to gabearizona@aol.com. If anyone can help us out with equipment, clothes, or a replacement trailer, hit us up. It's appreciated.
