I'm stuck on this specific lesson

es (?)
cuesta (correct)
buscan (correct)

cuesta and buscan are the only ones that I got correct on the last two
I don't understand why the others don't work.

i think it's more of the tense you're using rather than the verbs

I've tried tenía and podría and those wont work either...

the system is pretty sensitive...this spanish online workbook will be discontinued next semester, since its not helpful in teaching. It pisses me off because the code itself costs $80. In order to receive full credit on tests you have to complete each unit of a certain chapter.

i see. it's past subjunctive because of the use of need/desire in the imperfect/preterite
