According to this website (http://www.fmqb.com/Article.asp?id=16770), Taking Back Sunday (http://www.myspace.com/takingbacksunday)'s new single will be "Liar (It Takes One to Know One)".

PSHHHHHH....Lame.

Here's how it should have went: 1. MakeDamnSure

2. Brooklyn

3. I'll Let You Live

They wouldn't have a b-side be a single.

One of my favourite songs off the album.

Good choice, but personally, I think Miami would make an awesome single. Punchy verses, a catchy chorus, a decent solo, and an overall cool vibe. Who could ask for more?

I'm content with "Liar". It's a very solid song and one of my favorite on Louder Now. I thought that I heard somewhere that "20/20 Surgery" was going to be the next single, but maybe I am mistaken. "Spin" or "Blackout" would also be great choices. As for whoever suggested "Miami" for a single, it is a good song, but I don't think it's one of the songs on the album that people could keep listening to. I think it'd get annoying. Otherwise, I just hope that the video is as good as "Make Damn Sure."

"Brooklyn" = b-side. Bands don't release b-sides as singles, ok kids? Let's keep this straight.

Second, "I'll Let You Live," while a good closing track, is not single material. It's over 5 minutes and is not necessarily "radio-friendly".

"Liar" is a great choice, as was "MakeDamnSure" and "Twenty-Twenty Surgery," although I believe "My Blue Heaven" should be the next single, since it's the 'ballad' on the CD, a song that has potential to garner them even more success with this album.

i'm with you on this one. i hold this band in very very high regards, but this record still stands alone as the most obnoxious cd of 2006.

20/20 sugury was such a poor single, hell, a poor song. Liar is a good choice though, spin should be next though.

I never heard it anywhere either... and if did in fact read about it being a single, it was a long, long time ago....

WAIT WAIT WAIT!!!

I remember now. It came out a while back, maybe like late-June/mid-July? The video was terrible. I absolutely HATED it.

"The video feautures the band playing in a prison to loads of inmates, mimicing Johnny Cash's infamous Prison Concert, also Adam Lazzara is dressed to resemble him.

"20/20 Surgery" was only released as a single in the UK, where it hit #19 on the UK Singles Chart.

I'm glad they chose to make Liar the single. It's not my favorite song, but I won't get mad when everyone and their mother is singing to it. I hate it when my favorite songs are on the radio. Boulevard of Broken Dreams was my favorite off of American Idiot, then it became a single. Now I hate that song and want to hurt any teenie who sings it.

I hear you all too clear on this one, haha. It was my favorite song as well, and now it's just.. ugh...

I find that most singles that are released by bands are either:
A. Chosen by the record label.
B. Chosen by the band, cause they like the song.
C. Chosen by the label and band to get the word out about the band (if they're just starting off)
D. Chosen by the label and band to get lots of money.
E. None of the above - Other.

Also, i find that the singles are not the "best" or the "favorites" on the CD. I say that the more devoted fans are the ones that love the songs on the CD that aren't the singles. Sometimes I think that the people who are obsessed with the songs "on the radio" are the "posers," but I contradict myself with that statement, because I like the songs "on the radio" with these bands I'm not familiar with. Take Coheed & Cambria for example, I fucking love that band... but the singles "Devil in jersey City" "A Favor House" and "Blood Red SUmmer". All good songs, but poppier and not AS good as the others. Same with "The Suffering". It's songs like "Delirium Trigger," "33," "21:13" "Lgiht & The Glass" "IKSOSE:3" "The Crowing" "The Final Cut" and "Apollo: Part I & II" that really kick ass. However, though "Welcome Home" is a single, it kicked major fucking ass and was fucking EPIC when it was on their website before the album or video came out.

Sorry about that, enought of my ranting for now.

No one read that.

thats exactly how i feel about coheed. those songs u listed are the reason i love them, not the whack songs they choose as singles. if people heard those songs on harder rock radio stations, theyd be bigger i feel.

and as far as the tbs record, liar is a decent single. def better than 20 20. i would say miami and error operator are the 2 best choices for singles though. and blackout pact is my fav song off the record.

True. same with FOB, the fan favs were Chicago & Tell that Mick on TTTYG and Sophmore slump, Gin Joints, & Noboy puts baby for FUCT. None were singles.

Yeah man, if people would listen to the other songs and not the poppy singles, they'd see how talented they are. He's got an insane range and the guitars are just like "WTF?!"

I dont' think they will do "Error: Operator" cause it was already on the Final Four soundtrack and... I dont know, I doubt it, but a great song. I can't make sense of the lyrics.
"Blackout"'s my favorite too, but there is nothing like a great song having a great video.
As long as it doesn't explode and.... you know what happens from there.
