"Boxer" is my "Meet Me By the River's Edge" for this record.
I don't know why, the two just remind me of each other?
I think it's the repeated verse at the beginning.

I never would've thought Stay Lucky or Old Haunts would be losing. I love both of those songs!

I voted for The Diamond Church Street Choir with Boxer at a close second. Great album, I had such high hopes for this and they didn't disappoint.

Old Haunts.

The way he changes the lyrics around for the last chorus is solid gold.

That song is growing on me hard. It feels like a good mix of Van Morrison, Counting Crows, and Jersey.

Still digesting this album... feeling Stay Lucky right now though.

these are my two favorite songs...

the whole album though is just flat out amazing. I think I like this more than T59S

I don't know if I would go that far just yet, but I definitely think it's close to or on par with The '59 Sound.

I just wish We Did It When We Were Young had some life to it. The whole album just feels right track after track, but then the last song never picks up and never really carries that same emotion. As many others have said in the TGA thread, I was really hoping for more of a Backseat (my favorite TGA song).

For sure. I probably sound like a broken record, but I really just can't get into that song.

it's definitely a tune but it had the potential to be soooo much more epic, i feel like it ends right when it starts to pick up.

Definitely, Orphans I can just relate so much to that song. Anyone else wish they put an acoustic song on this CD, I do. It would've been hard to top "Here's Looking At You Kid" though.

That's my one problem with the album, I wanted something acoustic haha.
