So I'm quitting drinking for a long time. What's some good songs to help me out here?

No straight edge hardcore bullshit though.

Stare At The Sun by Thrice. Always struck me as illuminating in terms of encouragement. Could just be me.

I don't endorse quitting drinking one bit, but If I had to make a suggestion I'd go with...
NOFX - Bob
Third Eye Blind - Semi-Charmed Life
Motion City Soundtrack - Even If It Kills Me (there's actually a couple songs off that album probably)

Anything by Blink 182. How can you think of getting drunk when listening to those bouncy riffs? I'ma listen to them right now, actually.

Kevin Devine's 2007 Tour EP pops into my head.
I'm not sure why, but it's a good EP.

You are a making a big mistake pal.

Why on earth would you want to give up drinking? I mean think about the effects this will have on you. You will lose weight and save money. Your health will improve. You won't have to deal with excruciating hangovers and your friend and family relationships will improve.

I really can't see how it is a good idea.
