A glitch on Blippy caused it to reveal users' credit card numbers on Google searches (http://www.downloadsquad.com/2010/04/23/blippy-screw-up-exposes-customers-credit-cards-on-google/). Do you feel safe storing your credit card information on websites?

This poll is in conjunction with this week's Technology Round-up (http://absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=1662822).

I don't like using my credit card online, but... kinda have to.

I'm fine with it; but only on major sites. And even if those sites get compromised I don't ever keep a ton of money in the account my card is attached to, just in case someone does get ahold of it.

i'm good with it.. at least until something goes awry, and then i won't.. but, for now.. i'm totally comfortable.

Yes, because I steal all my credit cards from free card offers I find in other people's trash anyways.

I try to buy gift cards and use the codes when possible...

I never do. If you're too lazy to re-enter 16 numbers every time you buy things, you deserve to have your identity stolen.

I have it stored on Amazon

I never store it. I'm pretty paranoid, and it's not hard to just re-enter it.

This. So far I've not had any problems, until then I'll be okay.

Misread the question, and answered yes on all websites. I have my information stored on iTunes. Other than that, no.

I really hope all the people that voted for yes on all sites did it accidentally. That's just not smart.

I've had my card number jacked once already and I only buy from major sites. It's hard to avoid though.

I had my card number taken off a mini-card I had on my keychain. I valet parked my car and completely forgot about it (obviously my fault). The moron charged his cable bill to it, so it was really easy to track down and my bank took care of everything.

I had a friend who worked for a sales site that said they still processed the information by hand. I don't recall the website--it wasn't a major player--but it was kind of a scary thought. Then again, any time you use a credit card at a restaurant, you're facing the same risk.

I misread and answered wrong, I thought it was asking if you would use it, which I only do on sites I know I can trust. I never store it, though.

Yes, on almost all websites, because they mostly use the same safety programs. Of course, I don't trust these ''get rich with Google'' scam sites.

are you sure that wasn't just you buying world of warcraft and using 'some fool' as an excuse?
