I'm a country boy so this is a pretty common thing for me, especially in summer (yes, I still piss outside when it's -30 °C in the winter). During the workweek in the morning, it gets pretty hectic having four people in my family and only one bathroom so it's often faster to just go outside. Also when I'm drunk I tend to piss outside.

it depends on the neighborhood, if you are caught in a wealthy suburb neighborhood with lots of children, you might be looking at putting a sex offender sign in your front yard, but if you live anywhere else, you can get off pretty easily.
