not. they would have never been heard of without the Here It Goes Again video. and then everyone forgot about them, then they came back just because of the This Too Shall Pass video

September 28th for me! there are a ton of important events in history around that day, but never on it. it pisses me off so much

I'm not saying they're bad, just that I don't like them and that the only reason they're as successful (when it comes to albums sold, etc.) as they are is because of their videos

So the videos are doing exactly what they are supposed to do... They are an interesting visual presentation that goes along with a song.

Yes...but hardly anybody would listen to the songs if the videos weren't as cool as they are

I meant I've only ever seen their videos. As opposed to hearing all of their work. Insinuating I'm not qualified to make a proper opinion.

Yes... but the videos are cool, so they have more fans than a band that makes boring things. They had a bit of exposure before their biggest hit though; they had a song or two on Madden 2003. Someone obviously liked them.
