You can now hear the album versions of "Hang Em' High" and "The Art Of Sharing Lovers" at A Static Lullaby's (http://www.astaticlullaby.com) new website. The bands self-titled Fearless (http://www.fearlessrecords.com) debut is out on October 10th.

I have never been a big fan of this band, but Hang Em High sounds pretty sick. Reminds me a ton of TOCS-era Underoath.

You have to choose the flash version in order to hear the new tracks.

It should be a great album. Can't wait.

In fact, both bands just cite the name of a classical western with Clint Eastwood named that way.

i highly highly doubt a static lullaby would steal that from my chemical romance. its a song name, thehyre are a million bands with titles of the songs similar, even albums have same names.

but anyways, the new songs are fucking amazing, i kinda fell out of a static lullaby after faso, but im ready to jump back in! hang em high kinda reminds me of underoath, it sounds absolutely amazing!

unfortunately, you're probably right. it seems like the only bands that get praise anymore are the ones that are given credit for "reinventing the wheel". what's so bad about keeping the wheel rolling? give them credit for what they do well. these are two strong tracks in a flooded scene.

I dont think its necessarily a homage to Sin City but black and white comics (noir) comic books in general. But you're both right Sin City was probably the main inspiration.

Sounds like Underoath? I dont think so Underoath sounds like ASL. Did you forget A Static Lullaby ADFTB was out before Underoath were even a band? I would like to say A Static Lullaby might just be the creators of the Underoath, Senses Fail genre.

...because all of us were used to their first cd and early demos, so Faso Latido was nothing like WE wanted to hear. It was a decent cd in my opionion, but by far their worst material to date. I do like this new stuff alot, and am really looking forward to the new cd.

Not to be a jerk, but Underoath released their first album, "Changing Of Times", on February 26th, 2002.

A Static Lullaby's "And Don't Forget To Breathe" came out January 28th of 2003.

I think what he is trying to say is that TOCS is heavily influenced by ADFTB. Basically ASL was playing that style long before Underoath was.

I'm not getting it. If anything, I'd think ASL would be influnced by Underoath. Underoath didn't change their "style" between their first and second release.

i know you want to be right, but you aren't. Underoath has definately changed during every EP/Album cycle. TCOT and TOCS were different albums... similar in influence but both in different markets.

WOW! It is impossible for me to post in these forums because all of you kids are just too pissy, always having to be right, now aren't you.

Get over it. It was my opinion. I mistook a post someone made, made what I thought to believe a suggestive remark, and now you're all over my balls for it. Jesus ... let it go. Move on with your lives.

i still don't understand how you can say ASL takes from underoath's first or second release? those albums are nothing like anything ASL has done, IMO.

it's nothing like that. im not getting on your "balls" for it, i just think that underoath's they're only chasing safety takes a lot of influence from and dont forget to breathe..
ASL and anatomy of a ghost are the bands that i feel started the genre/made it huge and ASL is making sure they stay on top with this release.

i didn't say they did, i said if anything ... they did (in other words, i wouldn't like ASL influnced Underoath and it's more possible that Underoath influnced ASL). the point i was trying to make is that i don't believe Underoath was influnced by ASL. plan and simple.

leave it alone. the moment's passed.

i kinda agree with the kid. changing of times has similar music to chasing safety, just dallas and spencer are two totally different screamers. chasing saftey did put underoath over the top, but changing of times was solid state's highest selling release in history, prior to chasing safety.

Wow, I am pleasantly surprised. In fact, I can't say I was too excited for this. I've been pretty skeptical actually. But after hearing the new version of "Hang 'Em High," I can tell you that this record is one I will be picking up when it drops.

I'm calling it a comeback. And a welcome one at that.
