Explain
James Madison argued that a democratic government was safest in an "extended republic" because no single faction could dominate. Explain what Madison meant and give evidence that both supports and refutes this claim.

I don't know how to answer this at all and would be very happy if someone could assist me.

Madison was talking about Federalism, the idea that democracy can only exist when no single govt entity held all the power. Look it up on wikipedia.

madison believed in the system that there must be more than one party with control of the government to ensure that all point of views are heard and what not. this will also ensure that the govt stays true to the people for one party can easily be taken out for another in the next election.
