Fall Out Boy (http://www.absolutepunk.net/falloutboy) and Panic! at the Disco (http://www.absolutepunk.net/panicatthedisco) will be on the (http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1539534/20060828/fall_out_boy.jhtml?headlines=true) "new" Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack.
Fall Out Boy contribute a raucous version of "What's This?" (a song belted out in the film by protagonist Jack Skellington). Fellow Decaydancers Panic! at the Disco offer up an orchestrated version of "This Is Halloween"

before all the hate comes... this could be interesting
the first thing that popped into my head when i read that was that they'd be switching out the songs for the re-release and i almost threw my laptop through the window. then rational thought set in, and i decided this could be a cool idea.
EDIT: just read the mtv article. fiona apple covering sally's song could be sex-tastic

well of course they will.
the FOB part has a chance to be worthwhile.
as for panic... no comment.

wel lit says orchestrated version, so it might be instrumental only... i dunno, i'll want to hear it before i judge, i mean they havn't even formally released a cover song before, so who knows...

It might be interesting. I lost all respect for Panic! covers when they covered Karma Police. Way out of their league.

Panic! At The Disco - I'll wait to hear to judge
Marilyn Manson - i actually enjoy his covers
Fiona Apple - she's got a great voice, it'll be good

this should be pretty cool. Fall Out Boy will try really hard, this is pretty much Pete's fav. movie. I have faith in Panic and hopefully they wont let me down.

I'm probably going to love this, but I hate how A Nightmare Before Christmas is being capitalized on by everybody and their mother.

Kinda brings the whole "OMG SCENE KIDS HAVE STOLEN NBC" into a whole new level.
I don't care, i used to hate it when i'd see kids walking round with Jack bags but, whatever. I love the film, the music, the way it was made, and the whole design of the movie. Im looking forward to hearing Fall Out Boy's cover, the cover they did of Roxanne was brilliant. I hopefully will get the chance to see the 3D version of the film, but theres not too many cinemas around here that do that sorta thing.
I just hope this whole new soundtrack, and new release of the movie isn't over commercialised.God knows they'd get enough people to watch/buy without a huge marketing campaign on whats essentially and "indie" movie.
