MxPx (http://www.mxpx.com/) will be releasing a b-sides/rarities album on October 24, 2006 through SideOneDummy Records (http://www.sideonedummy.com/). The album is called Let's Rock and will feature 12 songs, ranging from acoustic demos to re-recorded versions of previously released b-sides.

Didn't they already do a B-side album? I thought Let It Happen was B-side. Why the hell would they need two?

Yep, it's the 24th. And no, the 3 tracks they recorded with Aaron Sprinkle are going to be included on the T&N re-release of their other b-sides album "Let It Happen," which I've heard comes out October 17th.

Ironic, seeing as wasn't that album the one that pissed off mxpx so long ago and they told kids not to buy?

Ironic indeed. Perhaps MxPx is still confined by contract details they signed with T&N way back in the day--details that legally force them to do a re-release like this. Or perhaps MxPx and T&N have actually settled their differences...although I can't see how that would happen considering those differences were over who *owns* those songs. I'd wanna own my own songs:)

To the best of my knowledge (which is vast and unwavering) Let It Happen is also MxPx's best selling album. 30+ tracks for $10 will do that to a record. I remember going to the record shop looking for MxPx's soon to be released At the Show (release dates were conflicting at the time) and I found this album there instead. I though it *might* be the live album but I was pretty sure it wasn't. I liked it. Odds and sods.

MxPx has been recording for 10 years and running (lame reference) and Let It Happen was released in what? the 90s? I think if they have the material and its not completely bad then release it. Fans are fans and they'll be happy to have it.

"Let It Happen" was amazing. I hope their new B-sides are better than "Panic". My band is playing with these guys in 2 weeks!

maybe its possible that the new version of 'Let it Happen' is how mxpx would of wanted it released in the first place and thats why they are re-releasing it... because they got what they want.

i thought it was clever and semi-witty. no laughs from you. you get what i'm saying though. things change over time. i don't even know if that has anything to do with it. but if i recall right, t&n has changed a bit since those days.
