I was sad to see Mindy leave Lydia but I knew she was going to be better off so I've been eager to see what she's been doing. This definitely has potential. I'm very excited to see where they go with this project.

Really excited for this. Also I know nothing about Copeland, are those guys brothers, because they look an awful lot alike.

'Falling For' is probably my favorite, as well.
Instrumentals on 'Asleep' are amazing.
With a little better chorus, that track would easily be the best.

i like it, i just wish the other 2 songs we've heard were also on it. i also thought mindy whites solo songs would have worked great on this.

Hardly, but given my avatar, you can see I like Lydia.

First listen through, States sounded solid. I only somewhat like it, though. It's kind of like Mindy's solo stuff she released prior to States. Sure, it was good and "nice" to listen to but it really lacked the ability to keep me coming back to it. I'm sure I'll listen to States more in the future, but for the time being, i find much more appeal in other music. Feel free to hate on me for saying it, but I'm just not the type of person to like music simply because of who releases it. I love Mindy, but I'm not going to like anything and everything she puts out that's over-produced and arguably sounds "better than the crap Lydia put out".

With that being said, I will agree that it is solid for a debut. Falling For is pretty good, but my favorite would probably be Another Chapter. I'm surprised only one other person has mentioned this song.

Line Em Up grew on me more recently and I was excited to hear some new material but I can't say the song does anything for me. Perhaps I can revisit it later like I did with Line Em Up and grow to enjoy it. We'll see...

Timebomb feels a little "trying too hard to be hard" to me. Lyrics are a little generic.

Still, Line Em Up was the best debut I've heard in awhile. Will get Room to Run a listen for sure, still liking their style, and think it could be fresh.

I picked up 'Room to Run' at their show at the blue note last night. This album has grown on me soo much within the past week. I can't get enough of the last 4 songs. They did an awesome cover of Gnarls Barkley - Crazy last night. Set was fan-fucking-tastic and Mindy sounded great.

Yeah, this album is my most disappointing of the year as well. Most of it just sounds like uninspired pop songs. It's so obvious that it's just to launch Mindy into stardom. It's such a bummer because the Copeland guys are capable of doing so much more than what they did on Room to Run.

Although I did just listen to the second half of the album and it does have some nice tracks on it though. It still doesn't even touch some of the songs on Line Em Up.

I mean I literally feel embarrassed listening to some of the songs on this album in my dorm. I'm worried kids in the other room will be all "is that kid listening to Kelly Clarkson?" Not that I care what they think... but, you get the point.

Yes to both. They definitely went too synth heavy for her voice, just doesn't match up well.
