New Aiden EP/DVD

Seattle goth-punk quintet Aiden (http://www.aiden.org) have revealed the details of their upcoming EP/DVD. Titled Rain In Hell, the six-song EP features covers of classic songs by Misfits and Billy Idol, as well as having new original songs; the package also includes a DVD containing three music videos, a complete live show shot in Chicago last year, and more. Rain In Hell is out Oct. 31 via Victory Records; the tracklisting is below.

Shouldn't every discussion of this band require someone to post a picture of them? They must have been short on time before this photoshoot. The singer didn't get to put on his Joker makeup and the dude on the right ran out the door without his dentures. Bummer....

to answer your question, in my opinion hawthorne heights, while still not the best band around, have earned a lot of people's respect through their actions. it kind of started when bayside had that accident, and HH did all kinds of nice things for them, then the fact that they openly began having a sense of humor about themselves, and finally the fact that they broke away from, and are sueing victory is like the icing on the cake. aiden however, not only suck, but completely lack any credibility, originality, or substance. they are the coattail riders of a dead trend. that's why people despise and make fun of them. plus, those guys look like goobers.

I wish Aiden had more posts, so I could be endlessly entertained by all the insults that come their way.

My question is, who in their right mind actually likes this band? I mean, seriously, who listens to their music and says, "Fuck, this is so good!"? The very fact that they are allowed to make music is absurd, and the fact that whenever I read AltPress, people are begging for Aiden to be on the cover genuinely sickens me. Perhaps it's because I hate them so much with an extreme passion, but I can't understand the world at large with a shitty ass band like Aiden making music.

Oh, and to whoever said they hate Aiden more because they're from Seattle (I think you're actually from Seattle, too), don't hate them more because of that - feel embarrassed and say they're from Spokane instead, or Idaho. Idaho...that sounds better.

well i love aiden and i guess everyone has different opinions but to be honest (i know people are gonna moan at me for saying it) but they're just starting out and so what if they want to try new material? they have they're own individual, unique style and if people dont like it then why listen to it or slag them off... i could spend hours writing an essay on why i hate hawthorne heights or my chemical romance but i dont... its just a waste of time...
the new album is pretty good and if you guys actually spent some time to listen to it then im sure you might agree... the suffering is a brillient song (its on their myspace)...
i went to see them at astoria and they got the crowd going and it was a brillient day and at least they come out to see the crowd and spent some time with them at the start and at the end... they are not trying to act up or be the new hawthorne heights (they are completly different styles of music) so why just give them a break and actually give them a chance rather than assuming things... i personally love aiden and i know you guys dont agree but i just had to say that..
