The Used had to cancel their international tour but announced they have started to work on a new album. I feel bad for the fans in those foreign lands but a new album being in the works is such great news, granted it prob wont be out til sometime in 2011, still some exciting, great news that made my day! :)

I seem to remember the OP posting another Used-Cock-Sucking post a while back and it ended the same. A long line of people who feel like the Used had a promise to be fucking awesome but went downhill fast.

Believe it or not, they took a step in the right direction with Artwork by toning it down on the production. I have a little bit of hope for their next record, but this is probably going to be the last chance I give them to return to form.

I saw them live a few nights ago and they were great.
Good enough to end my personal liking for them.
They peaked and I feel like if I never listen to another song from them it will end on a good note.
Especially since Burt (Bert?) can't scream anymore. It just feels pointless.
EDIT: Literally can't, for those who don't know. He had some sort of surgery, I don't know, I don't really care, someone just told me.

Sold My Soul is my personal favorite, followed by these two tracks you've listed. If my memory serves me correctly, they pulled this shit with LFTL, less than a year after it's release they went back to record a new album, and that took them 2 years to complete. Don't get your hopes up for a new Used album this year, or next year for that matter.
I've always said, regardless of my opinion about Artwork, that The Used pretty much died when they kicked Branden out of the group. The reason they hardly play anything off their first 2 albums anymore is because Dan can't play most of the songs.

Quite the opposite. I do enjoy some of their stuff on cd. They are one of the worst live bands I've ever seen. Being from Utah I have seen them probably 15-20 times since they opened virtually every show I saw when they were up and coming. They are TERRIBLE. I even saw them at a festival about a month ago and they just plain SUCK live. Bert can't even scream any more.

you must get drunk at shows quickly. casue they are the greatest live band of all time, so talented.....all bands today suck live, they cant play...but the used are true musicians and play amazing live, the best live band you will ever see in your life.

greatest live band ever, absolutly amazing live, only band that could acturally play live today in fact, bert screams on studio recordings but not live anymore but its ok....and look at the trash bands you have listed on your fav band list, all the bands that dont change a bit from album to album and all sound just like each other, you just live by what the standard sound tells you... by standard sound i mean the way every single band sounds today, how they are all the same and shitty.....except the used who are so raw and unique that you cant handle the change
