Thank God somebody on here know what he's talking about! I don't like to hate on bands but jesus christ is this an easy one to. First of all, from what I read, Pete signed these guys to his label without them even playing a show. So not only to they sound 100% like Fall Out Boy, but Pete himself probably thinks, "Wow, these guys are total rip off of my band. And we just sold 2 million records. Cha-Ching." So now this talentless (sure they can play their instruments, but just because you can play an instrument decently does not make you talented) band wagon group explodes and sell a million records. Let's give it six months before they start a label and sign a band that sounds just like them! Discuss

Thank God somebody on here know what he's talking about! I don't like to hate on bands but jesus christ is this an easy one to. First of all, from what I read, Pete signed these guys to his label without them even playing a show. So not only to they sound 100% like Fall Out Boy, but Pete himself probably thinks, "Wow, these guys are total rip off of my band. And we just sold 2 million records. Cha-Ching." So now this talentless (sure they can play their instruments, but just because you can play an instrument decently does not make you talented) band wagon group explodes and sell a million records. Let's give it six months before they start a label and sign a band that sounds just like them! Discuss

I agree that it's kinda lame that Pete signed them before they ever played a show, but to say that they sound 100% like Fall Out Boy is completely inaccurate. Pete signed them because they had some demos which, in my opinion, were pretty sick and didn't sound like anything Fall Out Boy had ever written. Sure, he should've watched them for a while, let them record more shit, play some shows and THEN sign them, but I feel like they get way more shit than they deserve. A Fever You Can't Sweat Out really isn't a bad album at all, it's just a shame that Panic!'s mainstream attention is causing so many people to hate them. Discuss.

i hate panic! as much as the next guy....but to me it's just pathetic that people take music so seriously that they want to chuck a bottle at a band just because they don't like them or they hate the lead singer because they have a big ego, or whatever the case it. complain about it all you want on message boards, but to actually do something like that is taking it way too seriously.
and all you people who want to about how funny it is and how big a "pussy" he is for falling over....get over youselves. idk if you think you're hard or you just really have no soul, but no matter how much you hate the band or he annoys you, he's a human being. to take this opportunity as just another chance to bash on them and say all stupid crap is also pathetic.
i mean, i love a good argument about music from time to time, but there are just way too many people who take their scene status and their musical distastes way too far, and idk what they're trying to prove, but you've turned from passionate music fans into really pathetic people if you are condoning something like this or even worse, actually doing it.

but despite whether i liked them or not, it's fucking stupid when people throw shit on stage at bands.
