Further Seems Forever Reunion? [Archive]

I know a while back there were talks of it. Like in 2009. Does anyone have any new info on this?

I remember last April I got a myspace message from the band saying that they were going to come back and new material was on the way. Thats the last I heard. I've asked the members themselves but they won't say no and they won't say yes.

There was a rumor of them reuniting with the original line-up. Supposedly they're working on new stuff but can't do anything officially yet due to Dashboard's contract. I personally lean towards it being true, but there's still a good chance of it being nonsense.

There were rumors about this time last year then it's pretty much dropped off the radar. I personally would doubt we'd hear or see anything until at least 2011, but who knows.

I know the 2nd guy formed his own band, and the 3rd just wanted to settle down.. that all still the same?

They're only willing to do it with Chris because Chris wants to do it. I don't know about the others.

I've only heard 2 songs from this band (that I know of) - Snowbirds and Townies and Light Up Ahead. Think I got the names right.
Anyway, I like what I've heard, but I hesitate to invest myself in a band with 3 different singers. That's the most important part of a band to me.

I would've been way more excited about Jason Gleason, but I like Chris too. How To Start A Fire was their magnum opus though.

A FSF reunion with Gleason has got little to no change of happening after the drama of him leaving in the first place. I think a reunion tour with Carrabba would be the more likely be he is much better liked as a vocalist then Bunch is, and since Dashboard has pretty much gone away from just acoustic, Carabba has no reason not to come back to FSF.

my guess is that he isn't allowed to tour or record anything other than Dashboard so that the label doesn't lose any money. In addition to that, they might not want to say anything prematurely, just in case it didn't work out.

Both subsequent albums, as great as they are, still hold no comparison to The Moon is Down. Hands down one of the greatest pieces of emotional rock to ever be released.

A reunion would be simply amazing, if true, but this rumor has been on-going for quite a while, and clearly there is no progress. How amazing it would be to hear that both original TBS and original FSF reuniting in the same year. I would be like a kid in a toy store who was just given $100!

I do like How to Start a Fire a lot, but Chris is definitely my favorite FSF vocalist. I also like him in FSF more than Dashboard, so this can't get underway soon enough.

I just wish something would be confirmed. I just got done listening to their live cd on the way home from work. Just made me want to see them all in concert one more time.

Chris was tweeting a couple months ago and pretty regularly things like "haning with the FSF boys again,", and " Really missed the FSF guys". I remember back in October they were supposedly demoing but nothing has come of it. It wouldn't surprise me, Carrabba is always working on something, he's even said he has dozens and dozens of unreleased songs.

I only worked with them through Jason's era/HTSAF but vocally Jason is the best. He wasn't too involved in the actually writing process of HTSAF. His biggest contribution lyrically was There Now I've Said It which is still one of the best songs to-date, regardless of the message and its purpose.

I saw them at bamboozle with Chris... it was epic

They walked out on stage and said, "These songs have never been performed live... so tonight, we'll play the entire album."

Then they did...

It was a few years ago and some of the guys in the band looked like they hadn't played in awhile but it was possibly the best live performance I have ever seen.

What, there has been times where Snowbirds & Townies have been played live... They were playing in a mall or seomthing, look on youtube. I've seen the performance you're talking about, it was a reunion, they played everything in order. But they have played that album live before.

They're supposed to put out an EP sometime this year I though. They love taking their sweet time.
