Hey, there's this show that my band is playing where all these bands are covering popular bands music. We are doing Dashboard, and we were wondering what are some of your favorite DC songs?? There are so many to pick from.. Was just a little curious on what some people prefer to hear.

Let me know what you think of these (songs we've been going through): hands down, don't wait, swiss army romance, dusk and summer, remember to breathe, am I missing, vindicated, and bend and not break..

Smash Adams

Screaming Infidelities, kind of an obscure song though not sure anyone will recognize it

Definitely should play some of the DC favorites. The Brilliant Dance should probably be one of them.

I mean obviously if you're going to cover a Dashboard song, the obvious choices are Hands Down and Screaming Infidelities.

For some reason we have been scared to even try screaming.. I honestly forgot how to play it but I think our other guitarist does which isn't an issue

i like this answer.

i was never much of a fan of their full-band material, myself. i'd say anything from tpyhctftm and sar and forget the rest, but that's just me.

also, the best deceptions, the brilliant dance, age six racer is pretty well known i think.

As others have said you must play the whole So Impossible E.P. in order. Then some musts are Screaming Infidelities, The Swiss Army Romance (if things go right you should have an awesome sing-along at the "We're not 21" part.), Age Six Racer, Again I Go Unnoticed (which I think is underrated),The Best Deceptions, Saints and Sailors, The Good Fight and The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most.

If you have lets say a half hour slot, you should do these songs;

Hands Down
Don't Wait
Screaming Infidelities
Again, I Go Unnoticed
The Good Fight
The Best Deceptions
Vindicated
The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most

Do they have to be full-band tracks, or just solo-acoustic tracks, like his first two albums?

Get Me Right (I know it's new, but my favorite song on the new record)

Mine aswell. A lot of people seem to hate it, mainly because the chorus could be considered "Worship", but I still love the song.

I think it's probably the most honest and humble song he's ever written. It shows that he's not ashamed of who he is, and what he believes. I'm glad he wrote it.

We are trying to stay away from the last two albums.. Do you guys think 'Am I Missing' is an unpopular song... That people don't know too well.. It has caused much debate with my band. Half of us want that song and half doesn't!

It's kinda hard to do a DC cover set without that song considering it's one of their most well known songs so it's something you'll have to tough out I guess. Also, am I the only DC fan that can't stand Don't Wait?

I dont like ' Dont Wait ' either...

You've gotta put Stolen in there. One of the most well known Dashboard songs. Places You Have Come to Fear the Most would be great, too.
