i have seen so much love on here for all of the old drive-thru bands i decided to made a thread dedicated to all of them!
my favorites: allister, the starting line, midtown, new found glory, the early november, finch, senses fail, home grown, fenix tx, something corporate, halifax, rx bandits, houston calls, dave melillo, the movielife, & hidden in plain view.
drive thru's last release was Houston Call's "The End Of An Error" in the fall of 2008 and basically fizzled out after that. last i heard they went bankrupt and were selling off all their bands. (which more than 3/4 broke up already anyways, including houston calls)
discuss.

The tours were awesome. I remember one weekend I saw thursday/thrice/the bled then the next night was the drive thru tour with homegrown/allister/early november/senses fail/starting line. Cool story, right? Ohh those were the days. The dvds still crack me up.

Truth.
The closest I came to seeing a Drive-Thru tour was Allister headlining, and HIPV opened. I've seen every band live that you posted except for TEN, which I still very much regret not getting to see them. I have one of the DVD's from back in the day. Truly hilarious!

Drive-Thru records circa 2000-2003 was a very, very special place. I'm not saying that that they've been nothing but shit since, but it seems like every single album they released during that time was either played hard in Fuseland or became highly influential for other bands to come.

One of my favorite videos ever.
I know it's been said over and over, but so many of the bands on this label got me into music and are still some of my all-time favorites. Too bad it's been all downhill from there, but I guess nothing gold can stay, right?
(see what I did there?)
Halloween 2003 = New Found Glory w/ Finch in Montreal, still one of the best show I went. Finch is my fav band since that show and I'm one of the rare who haven't been dissapointed by them since.(except the fact that there's a long period between LPs)
2003-2004 = Drive-thru major music influence w/ Allister, RxBandits, Homegrown, Senses Fail, Hidden In Plain View, FenixTX, The Movielife, Midtown, The Starting Line etc....it helped me to get past punk and ska.

This was a good record company.
In my opinion, this was never a good record company. A GOOD record company makes good business decisions. This is just a company that made a lot of money, because it had a lot of good bands. If a record label's ONLY goal is to make money, it is inevitable that they will eventually die out.

Adelphi - they put out a promo EP called Walking On The Ceiling Of The Sky. it's good stuff, pop-punk but still angular in a way. "Attention" was on a lot of samplers back in 05. they put out a 3-song sampler in 06 which is more smart pop music but broke up soon after
Steel Train - their first EP and album are very acoustic-based, but Trampoline is fun pop, much more in line with The Format. Jack, the lead vocalist, is in fun.
Cousin Oliver - one of DTR's first bands, never released anything on the label though
Jenoah - sort of like Adelphi, but a bit more eccentric. basically Drive-Thru's idea of post-hardcore. Morning Is When Jenoah Wakes Up is a great EP, def. reccomended. long since broken up.
Roark - singer/songwriter kinda guy
Last Summer - see Cousin Oliver's description
Mothermania - same
An Angle - Bright Eyes rip-off, but got an identity of their own for their last album. "Falling In Your Arms" is a great song

I've never been able to find the others anywhere. It was pure luck that i happened to see this there and that no one scooped it up since there was hardly anything left in the store.

I still break out my old Drive-Thru DVDs every now and again-they're so dated but still so good, especially volume 2, Randy from Finch still makes me laugh to this day

Whats the deal with Drive-Thru these days, I've not heard any updates. Are they still active with their 4 bands (or how many still on their roster). I heard Richard managed a couple of bands but them bands didnt do too well.

Drive Thru records has had some good bands, but the owner is one the creepiest and weirdest dudes alive.
