How was this not one of the most entertaining movies ever? Sure it wasn't good, but I had as much fun watching this movie as any movie ever. Action wise, man it was glorious. I thoroughly recommend going to see with friends and having a great time. Crank was about as funny and as fun to watch as any movie I've seen this year. Go to it with friends and try not to get sucked in, that is if you aren't incredibly cynical...in a bad way.

everything about this movie was absurd. he fucks a chick on a sidewalk in front of a crowd of asian people in chinatown

all of the action was ridiculous [still doesn't top the transporter] and with that said, i loved it. this should be gone into with almost a SOAP mindset. i was expecting this to be one of the most absurd movies i've ever seen, and i wasn't disappointed.

This sounds like a good bit of entertainment and has been getting great reviews, so I will probably see it this week

I liked the action/stunts in the transporter, but the stunts in the second transporter movie were just stupid (i mean the whole thing with the bomb at the bottom of the car..come on!) Seems like something I'll download or something, cause to me its looks prettty silly.

There is the spoiler option for a reason, and people shouldnt be fucking giving integral moments of a film away in an open thread without warning anyway.

So exciting all the way though. Easily the best movie I've seen all year.

I went into the movie with a huge ass bag of Sour Patch Kids and a large Mellow Yellow. To say the least, those two things combined with a crazy movie like that, I was up all night.
That movie had an incredible buzz all its' own afterwards. I was so wired afterwards, then went out and had a grand time at the bars that night.

Just got back from seeing it.

Amazing.

It is the most original action film I have seen in a long time, with some of the best cinamatography and camera work I have seen in over a year

yea im bumping an old thread. i just saw this movie. it fucking ruled. action and cinematography/editing were some of the best ive seen in this kind of movie/recently.

It's awesome since it's pretty much in real-time, and you are with him all the way. Plus the plot actually means he has to do these stunts, as opposed to most action films which just throw them in for the sake of it.

Crank = Best action film of the year.

As you can see...I notice the disconnect in those two statements...Scott, had you said the "most entertaining" movie you had seen all year, I'd have no issues, but the word "best' gets used way too casually.

I just watched this 2 days ago...and it was in between Children of Men and some other great films, which maybe isn't fair...but, honestly, it is far too absurd to even be taken realistically...I mean, the spoiler part mentioned is when I turned the movie off (after watching that whole scene of course), because at taht point, it made it very clear that it just didn't care.
