I'm the same way, luckily I'm relatively smart compared to most my age and managed to get by with good grades. I usually try to break up doing stuff and "reward" myself. I'll work for so long and then I'll take a break and play some super smash brothers, or whatever I feel like doing. I usually try to go longer every time just to work on my study/work habits. It really isn't much of a big deal at the high school level, but the better study habits you have going into college the better off you'll be.

this is what college is for me. its a joke... but whatever. find what you like doing. find something that will make you happy, but also not piss of your parents and everyone else (i.e. dropping everything else just to skate).

It's not about how he studies.

At the end of the day it comes down to what you want in life. You wanted to get into a good school and so you worked for it. I want to get into a good uni and so I am working for it. Do I find it enjoyable? Aspects of it definitely but not really. The way I see it is that it will be worth it when I have a great time at Uni and get a job where I can live a comfortable lifestyle before providing for my family.

No prob, just use high school as practice for some good study habits. There are a ton more distractions in college and it's a lot easier to lose focus. It's fine to lose focus and have fun, but realizing when you can afford to lose focus and when you can't is a good skill to have.

I used to be like that but I've learned to befriend my teachers, or at least get them to think I'm really funny. That makes it a lot easier for me to slack off and not really suffer from it. Probably not a good method in the long run but oh well, it works for now.
