Second season is currently being filmed (!) it'll probably be out in November of this year. I thought it was really cool how they did their powers, I didn't really notice til the end though, when we found out Nathan's.

Even though I got my hands on the pre-air on Monday (I think), I was still really excited for it to finally be back last night. Can't wait for next week's episode.
Oh man, such a good start to the season. It's awesome that all their powers are fully developed now so we won't spend time figuring all that out. I was kind of bummed about Nathan and Kelly at the end though. Something will probably happen between them by the end of the season.
Next week looks phenom.

I think she got more upset than needed. He was obviously just being defensive as usual and didn't mean what he was saying. What got me the most was when he got out of the coffin and one of his first thoughts was how he'd thought he would never see Kelly again. So sweet!

I agree on both counts. Especially about Kelly overreacting. His apology was so sweet (for Nathan) and weird.

Tonight's episode was awesome.
Fucking fantastic episode, probably my fave of the series so far. All the scenes with Nathan and his dad were awesome, Robert Sheehan is so good.

I just rewatched last night's episode, and when Curtis goes back from going forward to the scene when he's on the roof, in his eyes you can see everything that leads up to it (much like in his episode in season 1 when he kept going back) and it shows them all in their orange suits hanging by their wrists from some bar? Wonder what's up with that.

I love this show. It's so so unrealistic but it's brilliant. It always has me in stitches.

I keep trying to figure out the timeline of Future Simon, Alisha and Present Simon, but I get confused.

This show is incredible. I always used to see it on my Tumblr dashboard and I thought it would be crappy, English and over-hyped but it's just REALLY GOOD.
I wasn't sure if I liked Simon and Alisha together to begin with but I kind of do now, I can't wait to see how they play out Alisha falling for Present Simon. I'm gonna miss topless Simon though, all I can say is HNNNNG.

Yeah, this season isn't bringing it as hard as I'd like it to. Loved the first three episodes. Four was pretty good, five was meh. Kinda disappointed by the Superhoodie storyline. The promo for it made it seem awesome, but I was underwhelmed. I'm still excited for the last two episodes, but season one is definitely better than season two.

Last night's episode was okay. Kinda pointless, as Curtis turned back time, so none of it ever happened. Speaking of which, the solution was too predictable. I knew that Curtis would probably turn back time anyway, (to reverse the whole fame thing) but when the milk guy started killing everyone and Curtis was revealed - conveniently - to be lactose-intolerant, I was kinda over it. The deaths of the other characters didn't hold any weight with me because I knew that Curtis couldn't die and that he would fix everything. Everyone I know was all torn up about people dying and I was just like, "Why? They're gonna be saved by Curtis". Kelly's death did catch me off guard though. And Nathan being turned into a vegetable was sad (Robert Sheehan did that well). The only thing I truly appreciated was Simon's Superhoodie moment after he found Alisha and Nikki dead. That was awesome.
Oh, and Nathan crossed a line tonight. I love Nathan (he's my favorite character), but the part when he tried to trick that healing girl into rubbing his penis after she told him she wouldn't? Really? And the comment about "slipping those girls one" before they were fully awake/sober. Come on. He needs his ass kicked. He's been so over-the-top obnoxious and rude this season (minus the episode with his brother, which was my favorite episode this season). The "tripling" thing, however, was pretty funny.

Even though the last couple of episodes haven't really done anything for me, I am way excited about the Christmas special and I'm sad that Misfits will be over for a year after Sunday. I really hope the whole cast signs on for season 3.

Christmas episode was okay. Better than episodes 5 and 6. Few things:
- How does Simon know about all of the Superhoodie stuff? I guess Alisha could have told him over the three months they skipped, but wasn't she supposed to keep it a secret? Did he follow her back to Superhoodie's place like in episode six?
- Nikki!!!! :-(
- Nathan and Marnie were annoying. He sleeps with her one time and is willing to sell his immortality and be a pseudo-father to her kid? He's only known her for a day! Whatever. Hope she isn't a regular in the next season.
- Nikki!!
- This episode needed more Kelly. She's the best.
-Jesus' death was a little too easy and predictable. It would have been cool if he'd had Nathan's immortality and been a major villain next season.
- Nathan and the afterbirth was hilarious.
- The singing? No. Never again.
-I liked the cliffhanger. I'm interested to see what powers they all get. Do they keep the old ones? Do they get new ones? Alisha (obviously) doesn't get her old power back.
-Will they bring Nikki back? I loved her.
-Praying that the entire cast signs on for the third season.

I loved this episode just like I loved the whole season, this is seriously becoming one of my favourite shows. I didn't really care when Nikki died, I wasn't too big a fan of her, I really liked Marnie though, I hope she's around next season. I liked Jesus' death, I didn't think it was predictable at all and I'm not sure they could have beaten him if he didn't kill himself by accident. I definitely don't think he could have carried over to next season. When Nathan first started singing Little Donkey I was dying, everything that guy does kills me. Best part of the episode goes to the afterbirth part, I literally couldn't breathe. I also really liked the ending, I was just expecting them to get all of their own powers back so the thought of new ones is a nice twist.

There was an interview a while ago where Antonis Thomas (Alisha) said that the cast wasn't quite sure if they were coming back. There was also and incident with an actor who is starring in a movie with Robert Sheehan (Nathan) on Twitter. He said that everyone except for Robert had signed on for season three and that Robert was done with the show. He has since deleted the Tweets. These things probably aren't indicative of what will actually happen, so I'm taking all of this with a grain of salt, but still...

Definitely didn't like Nikki dying. :-( I liked her. But I'm happy with how they ended it, and like everyone else, I'm interested to see which powers they get. Did Simon actually sell his power? I don't think Kelly and Nathan will ever happen, but if they do get together, it will probably be near the end of the series. As for Simon, I don't think he sold his power. He never mentioned it, and he didn't say anything about getting money for his power like everyone else did. He'll probably be the only one to keep his original power and get a new one.
I loved everything about this episode. It felt like more of a finale than the last show. I liked Marnie, but I have a feeling she might not last too long. I was sad when Nikki died, but I think she might come back next season, but she'll keep her power. And I'm happy everyone will be getting a new power, but I can't help but wonder who gets what. Anyway, awesome episode, but I'm sad this series is over. I can't wait for series three.

I heard that Ruth Negga (Nikki) isn't coming back, but that could be false info.
Simon totally sold his power. He would have tried to stop the shooter if he hadn't. A lot of people are speculating that he gets a time-travel power (possibly Curtis' power) and that's how he travels back in time to save Alisha. (ETA: Actually, I don't think it'll be Curtis' power because the dealer sold Curtis' power to an old Jewish guy. The only way they'd get it back is if it was re-sold to the dealer. Also. Curtis' power (as far as I know) doesn't allow for two of the same person to exist at once, which was the case for present and future Simon.)
It's not that I didn't like Marnie because I thought she was pretty funny. I hated her and Nathan together. Nathan - who tried to hump anything in a skirt in the previous episode - wanted to give up his (very useful) power to be able to support some girl he barely knows and her unborn child after sleeping with her one time. I know that he doesn't get laid often, but really? And why would a heavily pregnant girl want to live in a community center with a guy she just met? A guy who barely has money for the vending machine one day and comes back with 2,000 pounds the next. Yeah, it was nice to see a softer side of Nathan, but those thoughts kept me from really enjoying it.
I'm reading way too much into this, but whatever.

Rudy is the new regular member of the MISFITS gang. Rudy is constantly positive and ‘up’ – the kind of guy that won’t take no for an answer from a girl. He is outrageous, rude and very funny.
When Rudy was struck in the storm he developed the ability for the depressed and ‘down’ side of his personality to manifest itself into another version of Rudy, known as Dark Rudy. Dark Rudy constantly reminds Rudy about all the most embarrassing moments of his life which he’d rather forget. He has a darkly mischievous feel to him, rather like Tyler Durden in ‘Fight Club’.
Most of the time Rudy is ‘up’, joking and pissing around, but when Rudy feels low or his ego takes a blow (e.g. a girl rejects him) Dark Rudy appears.
At the start of the series Rudy and Dark Rudy have an uneasy relationship, fighting and arguing with each other.

I can't believe Robert's leaving :( He is THE best thing about Misfits :(
And I kinda liked the fact there was an Irish guy in the show haha. He even went to the same college as me. I guess he didn't have time for it anymore with all the movie parts he's being offered but I loved the character of Nathan so much. I wish he'd at least come back for a few episodes.
He was quickly becoming one of my favourite tv characters ever, everything he did was hilarious. I wish he'd have stayed on for at least one more season.

If you’re a Misfits fan you might want to sit down before you read this latest piece of news… Nathan, the funniest and fittest Misfit, won’t appear in a new online film or the upcoming third series. Nooooooo. We think E4 needs to set up a special helpline for distraught fans. Or at least send us a signed photo of Robert Sheehan to make us feel better.
Obviously we’re very happy that the ace, darkly comic drama is coming back to our screens but it won’t be the same without Nathan. A special online edition of Misfits is being filmed that will introduce a new character called Rudy to the group of superheroes, and it will also explain the demise of Nathan. Sob! In the film, the gang will travel to Las Vegas, a trip that will end in disaster for Nathan. Double sob!

Just watched episode 1. Really cool so far.
Not going to be the same without Nathan being in the group but as long as I have Alisha/Simon I'm ok. Also excited to see which powers they chose at the end of S2.

the last two episodes of season two completely blew my mind, especially the fame episode. wow. awesome television.
i can't believe Curtis won't be able to get his power back, especially since it was such a key component of the show. definitely nervous to see which powers they finally choose.

The trailer for the new series didn't exactly excite me. Not sure I can handle the show without Nathan.
Me neither, him getting ready to roll the dice got a huge laugh out of me but other than that it just seemed like a quick way to explain why he won't be on the show any more which is what it was really. The new guy doesn't look great to me and neither did the trailer, I hope I'll still love this show without him but I'm not that sure I will.

Yeah I'm not really looking forward to the new season without Nathan, if there's ever a character that made a show it was him, one of the funniest telebox characters in recent years.
I'll still watch it, but it'll definitely be lacking a little magic I reckon. I'm hoping they make it a little darker now they've lost the comedic edge.

How do they all have "utterly useless" powers? The power dealer guy is still around anyway, so they could probably change again if it actually comes to that.

I'd say all of their current powers have practical uses, and we know all of the main characters apart from Rudy well enough that they don't need to have powers that are really on-the-nose metaphors for the sort of people they are. The ones they have now reflect how they've changed instead, I guess. Except Curtis... I'm stumped as to what his new power is about haha.

I just caught up on this series through Hulu Plus. The second episode of the third season was incredibly awkward and funny to watch. It's by far one of the best written episodes of the entire series. It focuses on Curtis new power. Man when he was explaining the whole orgasm bit I was dying at Simon's reaction. Can't believe Rob is gone. I saw an episode of Love/Hate. Not my thing. Kinda interesting that Ruth Negga is his love interest on that particular show and she ended up being a one-off character in Misfits along with his departure. Bitterness anyone? Whatever. Third season is off to a good start.
I'm glad that this show still rules without Nathan.

Pretty sure my favorite moment was Rudy opening the door, seeing the police there about to bash it down and just calming closing it to go climb out the window. And I am now 100% behind Kelly and power dealer guy. She was so badass this episode.
As much as I miss Nathan, the show is much more balanced without him.

Pretty much anything Kelly did, sooo badass.
Power dealer just being a fox.
I love this show, but I'm kind of growing weary of all the people dying. it seems like a cheap cop out, God forbid I start to like a character who's not one of the 5 main characters 'cause it's likely that they'll end up dead.
Other than that, the show's awesome. My favorite episode is the one in which Nathan unknowingly has sex with the old woman back in season 1. His reaction was priceless.
The new season...I have mixed feelings about.

So, I haven't been keeping up with Misfits. It started to suck (IMO) about 3 episodes into season 2. Joe Gilgun is the only reason I still watch.
I haven't watched the zombie episode or the finale yet, but I saw that Antonia Thomas (Alisha) is leaving and that Iwan Rheon (Simon) might be leaving, too.. Hm.

Agreed, I honestly would've been okay with that being the series finale. I liked Nathan but I was never a massive fan of him so I didn't mind him leaving, but Misfits without Iwan Rheon: major meh.
And Alisha's death was pretty fucking brutal but it actually worked really well.

This time travel bit kills me. I was hoping the finale wouldn't tie back into that plot. I enjoyed probably this 3rd season the most. Especially compared to the second. I think other than "OH MY GOD that soda looks like a grenade" The writing for every episode this season seemed pretty solid.

I can't believe that a show with so few episodes can be written so poorly. People (AKA internet anglophiles) always say that British television is better than US television because there are fewer episodes in a season, which leaves little room for filler episodes. Quality over quantity and whatnot. The writers of Misfits clearly missed that memo this season, as more than half the season was filler.
At least they can toss that ridiculous Superhoodie arc now that Simon and Alisha are gone. I'm not sad to see them go. They were boring once they got together. Simon lost whatever is was that made him interesting and Alisha was reduced to nothing but a love interest for Simon.
I read somewhere that, in the beginning, Overman had it in mind to turn Simon into the villain. If true, I wish he'd stuck with that. Would have been more entertaining.

I agree with this. There's been successful British turned American shows but they have to do it right. Unlike Skins. Super worried about the gossip girl creator though.
I'm totally bummed over losing Simon and Alisha. They were my favorite this season. But, Nathan was my favorite the first two seasons and I survived without him. Hopefully season four is just as good.

i've only seen as far as season 3 ep 1 :unsure: i only started watching about 3 weeks ago and i've been trying to limit me and my boyfriend to one a day, hah.

That's a bit dramatic. With Simon and Alisha gone, it makes sense that other characters would be added to the cast. A lot of people (including me) thought the show would suck without Nathan, but Rudy's awesome -- I think these new characters could similarly keep the show fresh.

I actually want to see Lockout just for Joe Gilgun. He was great this past season. I hope he keeps the same powers though for S4.
The best part of those character descriptions is definitely "He is very funny."

I was kinda thinking the same thing. I wonder what their powers gonna be. Seeing how it's intially always reflective of their personality. This will definitely keep things fresh.

What was truly dead is the direction they went with those two character. The comic book episode was the best thing they got out of that relationship and time travel subplot was ugh. It's interesting that Alisha got two different powers both reflecting her personality yet somehow they never explored the whole "seeing through other peoples shoes" too well. I wanted to learn a bit more about her or see some growth but hollow and vain is what I mostly got from her. Good riddance. S3 is my favorite so far even without Nathan. I have faith in the writers.

If anything I'd complain about how Curtis is still around before there being new characters.
