they probably broke up cause they heard the new shipwreck song and realized there was no point to continue trying to make music when you are up against a powerhouse like them. its totally understandable and reasonable. i expect all your favorite bands to call it quits over the course of the next few weeks leading up to the release of the 7".

they lost their bassist to blacklisted. the singer broke his rib. there was no mention of them breaking up last week. they put on a helluva show.

according to chain reactions site, who are pretty much on the dot on everything, it says Betrayed cancelled their tour due to them breaking up.

Betrayed has officially announced they are no longer a band " Due to members feeling like they were compromising their integrity..." The band played their final show on August 27th, which leads to believe they will not be doing a farewell show. Like Carry On, like Champion, Betrayed are gone just like that.

Possibly.
Either that or they weren't necessarily too happy of the aftermath of signing to EVR.

I had read that EVR wanted them to tour with Lifetime, and it's possible they didn't want to do that, or maybe some members did and some didn't.
I don't know if that would be a reason for a break up, just something I read.
