Not a fan of The Starting Line, but Jimmy Eat World is a different story.

i do feel The Dangerous Summer in these guys, except a more pop-oriented group. either way, i really like this, thanks for the recommendation.
i also think it's really funny how their influence is Joe Pavelski.
They're okay. But Not digging it.

Post-Pop-Punk?
haha it's kind of a joke but it means what comes after pop punk like the last starting line album or last blink album. It's When pop punk grows up. NFG's coming home is another example.

what the fuck is post-pop-punk. why do you have to come up with some pretentious genre tag, why not just admit to the fact that you like to write catchy, youthful music?

no one in the band came up with that tag, and it's a joke dude. you should relax
there are several pop punk bands that went on to write more mature sounding albums that influenced a newer pop rock sounding genre. It's all for fun.
New Found Glory, The Starting Line, The Dangerous Summer, The Early November and even the last blink record are all examples.

Listening to this band for the first time now. Surprised they don't get more coverage on here. I like 'em a lot.

The American Scene are fucking AMAZING. They became one of my favorite bands almost immediately. They deserve so much more recognition, great band. Their lyrics are also fucking phenomenal.
"You'll never be in love like you were
The first time you heard the first lines of your favorite song
And I've never been in love like I was
On those late nights and long drives that we spent growing up
On the run..."
Whoa. Also, the second I get some money I'm buying their Dreamcatcher shirt. Siiiiick.

Really good band. They sound like TDS, but I think they have their own distinct sound enough to distinguish themselves. I feel like majority of AP.net would really dig them

Band rules. I've been on board since I heard them a little over a year ago. The two new songs on their split with Daybreaker are great. I can't wait to see how they progress for their next release.
