Rumor has it that the new Bedlight for Blueeyes (http://www.absolutepunk.net/bedlightforblueeyes) digital EP actually contains 2 songs with the old singer's (Christian (http://www.myspace.com/christianguerrero)) vocals on them. "Hindsight" (which he wrote wrote the music and lyrics for) and "Living on a Prayer," the Bon Jovi cover.

when i talked to the band after their show at bloomfield ave cafe, they said they were only recording ephemera. waste my time had already been recorded. the other 2 were done already i think

haha that dude has got social problems.
I had the Bon Jovi cover before Christian left the band, so that one has to be his, unless that was re-recorded for the EP. And Hindsight was on the Masters of Horror soundtrack, also while Christian was still in the band, so it's highly possible.

they re-recorded the one track with danny, and put the new track on. the other two are with christian. thought everyone knew that.

Hmm, I wasn't aware of this, but I did remember in the back of my mind that "Hindsight" was from Masters of Horror. Never thought anything of it, though; Danny and Christian sound so much fucking alike it doesn't really matter to me.
Oh, and does anyone else think that the guitar at the beginning of both "Waste My Time" and "Ephemeral Addictions" on the EP sounds pretty bad? It hurts my ears.

i guess its smart for christian, this way, he still makes bank while he is trying to get whatever else he is doing off the ground. personally, it doesnt matter who is on the album they are both very alike sounding.

Yeah, when I talked to the singer at a show he told me they were doing those two songs, and then throwing two older songs they had recorded on there.
I like the new singer, both as a singer and a person, so I'm hoping for a lot with the next CD.

The ads for the EP said "featuring the new singer" so I guess that's where people got confused. I just assumed that all 4 songs were with the new guy, but it doesn't really matter.

this band's first effort was awful. john nada is a terrible producer. maybe if christian didn't tell chris badami "i'm the best singer you'll ever get to work with" and get dumped by him, the CD would have come out a little better.
fyi - badami has worked with MIKE PATTON before.

P.S. "Waste My Time" is a sick track though. Christian and Danny have got it going on with vocal talents, for real.

i don't leave a lot of comments on here and after reading the post and all of the replys i had to post something. i know christian and have talked to him about what happened with bedlight. what they are doing now is totally fucked up. christian makes no money off of the digital ep but they are still using hindsight which is his song that he wrote the lyrics and the music for. all of you have to admit that even though bedlight was never a great band it had more to do with how bad the rest of the band sucked not christian. christian worked his ass of to promote the band and ended up getting fucked in the end. also everybody saying that the new lead singer sounds exactly like christian has no idea what they are talking about. the new lead singer is trying really hard to sound like christian but is no where near as close.

"waste my time" is the catchiest song bedlight has written in my opinion. and derek is the man.

without going into too much detail, i think its safe to say he hasn't seen any money after their initial advance from trustkill.
edit: to be fair, its entirely possible the rest of the band hasn't seen a cent from their record sales either, although all of them should be geting at least bit of income from the publishing (in the case of majority of recording agreements).

personaly, I don't think they sound alike at all. I haven't listened to them since the old singer left, and it was kind of inevitable that I would be disapointed with the newer stuff. I probably shouldn't go there, but to me this is a "cove trying to be anthony" situation. yeah, it's similiar, but something that was there just isn't anymore.
and it's unforunate that the riff from the new song sounds so much like cartel's "honestly". not accusing, just mentioning.

Christian is giving me singing lessons and we have talked about what happened with the band and when the digital ep came out he told me about the whole situation how they where using two of the songs that he had song on and was upset about it but there isn't really anything he can do about it right now.
